Emilyn never felt like she had a 'home.' She had lived in her old house since she was 5, but it never felt like home. Something was always...off. She never thought about it much though. Mostly because she distracted herself by hanging out with Hazel and Jake.
"We're here!" Her mom chimed, breaking her thought. Emilyn grudgingly dragged her half asleep body out of the truck. She walked to the back of the truck and grabbed the biggest box she had. It was a smaller house but her mom had told her the rooms were bigger. Good. I need the space. She carried the box around for a second looking for her room. Emilyn decided to put the box down and look around. The kitchens a decent size. She wandered around and saw two doors at the end of the hall. Peeking inside each room, she decided which was the master bedroom, and which was hers. She went back, grabbed the box, and put it in her room. She went back to the truck and passed her mom and heard her say "Nice place right?"
Emilyn didnt bother to respond, and grabbed another box.

Once she had all her boxes in her room, she started to unpack. She put her clothes in the closet on hangers. At this point, she was exhausted and wanted to relax. She went into the bathroom and saw she looked filthy. Her hair greasy, sweat on her forehead, and she was overheated.
"Mom, wheres the bathroom supplies?" She called out to her mother.
"In the back of the truck Emi!" Her voice sounded like it was in the master bedroom, so she didnt ask for her mom to get it.
As she walked out, she saw one of the neighbors staring at her. She quickly got to the back of the truck, found the box with the bathroom supplies, and rushed back to the house.
Emilyn went back to the bathroom with the box. She grabbed the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, got undressed, and got in the shower. When she got out, she wrapped herself in her towel and looked at herself in the mirror.
Her blonde hair was drenched and sticking to her pale skin. Her grey eyes were looking over her face. She had a small nose and soft features.
Everyone she met, thought she was beautiful. She could never look at herself that way. She'd always look at herself and point something that was wrong out.

Emilyn stopped staring at herself and got dressed. She started to unpack her boxes. Her mom had moved her dresser and bed in while she was in the shower. She found her box of blankets and pillows and set up her bed. After that she laid down for a minute and fell asleep.
