I watched with my keen sight as a golden etched carriage strolled past the city gates. The chauffeur was holding the reins of the four horses while the carriage remained alone. There was no lead to anyone being inside, but that didn't mean I was giving up. For after all, this was part of the plan.
"The man is late!" My mother complained behind me as I kept watch, "He had told me not a second after noon, yet it is fifteen minutes past noon."
"Modest." I muttered.
A hand smacked me in the back of my head causing me to collide against the glass window. Rubbing my sore forehead, I watched as a young man peeked through the curtains of the carriage, his eyes quickly scanning his surroundings before the door swung open. I sighed as a young man walked out, no one following. Now days, it's seems that only the young are blood thirsty or the only ones seeking revenge.
"And our guest has arrived!" I announced in a bored tone.
My mother glared at me before fixing her hair in one of her many mirrors. She walked to the door, inviting in our customer.
"I'm going to make this quick because I have somewhere to be." The royal stranger announced.
My mother gave him a fake warm smile, encouraging him to go on.
"I am a Prince, but my rightful place as King has been robbed from me by my younger brother. You see," the man took in a deep breath before continuing, "in order to become King their is a large amount of tests you must pass to deem yourself worthy. And I, unfortunately, have failed many, but my brother has managed to succeed in all of them."
The man looked at me as I sat cross legged in the couch. My hood from my cloak was pulled over my face until his large hands slid it down. He smiled at me evilly as his eyes twinkled.
"I was thinking of hiring the best assassin to take care of the dirty job, but why not have him fall in love with his killer first, then have him die with a broken heart?" The man spoke evilly, sounding as intimidating as my mother.
"How perfect!" Mother announced proudly. "We can always write ourselves off as nobles, just don't let him set foot in the village, or else our cover could easily be blown."
"No need to worry, my love," I shuddered at the name the royal stranger prince had came up for my mother, "he is forbidden to pass through the gates."
Scheming plan, tons of thinking, and a decoy. That's all it takes to take down a Prince.

I ran through the garden gates, a fat man running in pursuit behind me. The apple in my hand wasn't going back to him, so I wasn't planning on stopping, but that was before I saw a bicycle a foot in front of me.
The screeching sound of the tires and my surprised yell mixed together as I collided with the bike. My legs felt sore and ached, while my feet were throbbing in pain. My head was spinning and I felt to sick to open my eyes. I felt my chest heave and fall as I took in deep, heavy breaths. I felt a bunch of weight on top me then a hand slid off my thigh.
I opened my eyes and looked into a pair of warm brown eyes. I wanted to smile, but the boys cut up face made me think other wise.
"Gosh! Watch where you're going, idiot." I sneered.
"I'm sorry, you just came out of nowhere!" The boy retorted as he firmly placed his hands at my sides, lifting me to my feet.
I wanted to smile but I knew I would look stupid if I did, so I decided against it.
"You!" The fat market man yelled as he finally caught up with me.
I watched with a smirk as he attempted to come at me, but he was held back by the bicycle boy. I watched as they argued back and forth. I quickly took two swift steps back before running down towards the village.
"She's getting away!" The fat man yelled.
"Poverty says thank you!" I yelled back with a laugh.

"Eat it!" I demanded as James shook his determined face at me.
"Look you stubborn brat," I hissed, not willing to give up, "I ran for more than a mile with a fat guy behind me, I was ran over by a bicycle and hurt my butt on the hard fall! Eat the damn apple or so help me!"
James looked at me with fierce eyes. He's jaw clenched and unclenched, but his eyes stayed on mine. My hands rolled into fists as I watched the apple roll in James hand. With a long hard sigh James gave up, taking a bite.
"Bottoms up." I muttered victoriously.
James stuck up his chin rudely while he gave me an angry face.
I walked out if the alley way, leaving James alone to finish his lunch which was an apple and a piece of chocolate I had stole from a kid on my way here. People parted as I walked through the the village. I wasn't scary looking, but I was intimidating enough to make these people fear me. That's all I needed to gain to make my mother proud.
I walked up the stairs to my house. The dark inside the mansion was comforting but the silence made me nervous. I was always alone whenever I'm at home, but my only wish is to have company. I hate being alone, but that's my only true friend at the moment...
"Take me back, down the road, of which I had, once called home...." I sang softly as I pulled my journal from under my bed mattress. I wrote down the lines I had just sang, folding the corner of the page as I looked out my window.
"Dear Dad, what's the good in being bad? Sometimes I wish you were still here because at least then, mother wouldn't be that evil. We're you ever evil? We're you a good guy?" I whispered to the window.
I put my hand over the window as my warm breath fogged up the glass. My hand was outlined and I watched as it slowly disappeared back into the clear glass. With a sigh, I went back to writing. There was a knock on the door, but I stayed on my bed, ignoring the stranger at my front door. There was another knock only this one was much harder. Slamming down my book on my bed, I got up and stomped downstairs.
"What?" I hissed as I harshly opened the door.
Zach, the royal stranger came in. I rolled my eyes before closing the door.
"My little brother decided to change his plans today... And bend the rules." Zach said annoyingly. "I have a new plan. Tomorrow he is going to the park by the palace."
"But that's in the village. You said he can't exit palace grounds." I stated.
"Yeah, well, he complained to his parents that he would love a bit of freedom before taking a big royal step in life."
I ran a hand through my hair as Zach told me his new plan.
"Did you run this by my mother?" I asked.
Zach sat on the armrest of the couch, leaning down as I sat on the couch. His face was inches from mine before he spoke again.
"Does it matter? I got a feeling she wouldn't care about a change of plans." His eyes flickered to my lips.
"Ew." I said before pushing him off the armrest.
I pointed to the door and with a sweet, fake smile I replied, "I'll tell her, have a nice day."
He smirked before closing the door behind him and leaving back to palace grounds.
"Idiot." I muttered as I climbed the stairs back up to my room.
