Mack-

"Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to Mack, Happy birthday to you!" My eyes fluttered opened from the voice of Grandpa and Aunt Antoinette who were standing next to my bed with a small chocolate cake and candles that said 17.

I slowly picked myself up and rested my back on my headboard. Aunt Antoinette brought the cake closer to me and I slowly blew it. I didn't believe in making wishes for blowing candles. I lost hope in them after my 13th birthday when I wished for my mom to come back. It never happened.

"Thanks guys."

Aunt gave me a hug as Grandpa took out what looked like a shopping bag.

"Here's your present, sweetie," Grandpa smiled as he handed me the bag. I glanced at Aunt and Grandpa before I opened it.

"Oh my gosh, thank you!" I gasped as I saw the purse I always wanted after I went window shopping with Aunt Antoinette last week. I stared at the maroon red bag that was in my hands. It had the exact same features I saw through the window. There were pockets on each side of the purse and one big pocket with a lock in the front. Inside, there were two pockets. One where a mobile phone fits perfectly and the other was small enough for pens.

"That's only Antoinette's present. Wait till you see mine," Grandpa said as he grabbed my hand and led be off my bed. I threw my covers off of me and stood up. "Put on some slippers. We're going outside."

I bent down and turned my flip flops right side up. I knew it wasn't a good idea going barefoot outside because it was a sandy beach.

I squinted as the bright sunlight hit my face as soon as I was outside.

"Close your eyes, sweetheart." I could hear the grin in Aunt's voice. I closed my eyes not daring to peek. I loved surprises.

"Open them."

I opened my eyes to see a red surfboard with blue wave patterns on it. There were small flower petal designs spread across the board.

I needed a new surfboard ever since Lela and Tanner left the real world. They had to take out the flower design that was printed on my surfboard and paste it on the board Brady created - the board that can surf by itself so they can get back to their movie world. That was the same day I forgot Brady. But fortunately I gathered my memory back up, so did he, and everything went back to normal. Even Lela's movie, Lela, Queen Of The Beach changed back to Wet Side Story.

"I love this board so much, thank you grandpa!" I gave him a loving hug and kissed his cheek. "You too, Aunt." I did the same with Aunt Antoinette.

"You're welcome my dear." Aunt tore her eyes off of me and looked at the ocean behind us. "Will you go surfing today?"

I let go of Aunt. "Of course. I was hoping to surf with Brady today, if that's fine with you."

"It's totally fine with us." Grandpa replied for Aunt. "It's your birthday. You could do whatever you want to do."

My eyes widened. "In that case," I cheekily grinned at Grandpa. "Can I-"

"No." Grandpa sternly said cutting me off. Aunt laughed.
