A Shadow In The Abyss (Rogue love story)

Chapter 3

Rogue's POV

It was the third day of the Grand Magic Games. More then half way done.

The event was about to begin and was called 'Do Or Die'. Weird title but here I am, in the arena waiting for the announcer to explain the event.

I looked to see who my opponents were and saw Emma. Well just my luck. I can see her magic.

"Have all the participants from each team entered the arena?!" The announcer called counting all the teams. There were eight people in total and there were eight teams.

"Perfect! Now let me explain the event of 'Do Or Die'. It is pretty simple. A battle royal that once you get defeated or have had enough, you drop this red flag and you will be teleported back into the arena." He announced.

Pretty simple I would say.

Suddenly I was teleported into a different place and kept my emotionless expression on my face.

Emma's POV

I hid in the cover of the shadows that were cast upon buildings, waiting until I could see an opponent and attack.

Soon enough, I saw one from the guild........ What was it called again? Quatro Cerberus I think?

As he zoomed passed me I jumped out behind him my feet making slight noises as they hit the ground.

He turned around quickly getting ready to fight.

Rogue's POV (A/N: I know quick switch between POVS :D)
I hid seeing Emma jump out onto that Quatro Cerberus boy. Finally I get to see her magic.

He launched attacks at her and she dodged with ease, a crazed smiles spread across her face.

She took her knife out of its holster and stabbed him in the shoulder blade and he shouted in pain and she wrenched it out again.

"Drop the Flag." She ordered advancing towards him threateningly. He obeyed and dropped his flag, fearing for his life.

He was soon teleported out of the 'battle ground' and there I saw up in the sky, points to show who was still in.

There was Emma, myself, Natsu, Laxus and Jenny.

Almost half of us were gone. Soon Jenny's face disappeared showing that she had been defeated. Now it's exactly half of the people were eliminated.

Two Fairy Tail members. That could be a problem.

I quickly went towards where I felt magic energy so Emma wouldn't notice my presence.

I found Laxus and after a heated fight, defeated him.

I saw that Natsu had been defeated and dreaded the thought of having to face Emma. What is wrong with me? Why would I dread a battle....? I never have before.

Suddenly I found myself back in the arena with a laughing announcer. "I got you there didn't I folks? The two last people standing are the winners!" He laughed and I felt relief flood through me.

I went back up to where my team was and saw Emma jump up ignoring her brother as he talked. "Now to begin out first battle... Erza Scarlet against Emma Wilsburn!" The announcer shouted and my eyes nearly bulged out of my head. This was going to be interesting. If her brother was pretty strong, I knew that she was stronger, she must be extremely strong.

They both got in battle stances, Emma gripping the hilt of her knife and Erza requipped into her flight armour.

Erza charged, Emma standing her ground.
