Part 1:
Hayes P.O.V
I stared at the beautiful girl next to me, on the couch, currently captivated by the movie thats on. The movie was just background noises to me since my best friend, Madi, was right next to me, leaning her head on my shoulder. I know. I know. I probably shouldn't be thinking about my best friend this way but I can't help it. I have always loved her but always kept it in, for the better. I'm sure she doesn't love me the way I love her. She only loves me in the best friend type of way. My thoughts were cut off by Madi looking back up at me. She paused the movie, sat up straight, and got serious. "What's wrong?"she asked. I know most people would lie and just pretend to be happy but that wouldn't work with Madi. She knows when I'm lying and I know when she's lying. So I knew I would have to finally tell her. "Hayes"
I was probably thinking too long. I grabbed both of her hands and tried to begin. "Listen. There's something I need to tell you..."
" Hayes tell me what's going on" worry clear in her voice.
"I've been meaning to tell you this for a super long time and I cant hold it in any longer. I have loved you from the start. Not only the best friend way. But the love love way. I love all the little things about you. They make you, you. Your insecurities. Your sensitivity. I love your laugh. I love the way your hair falls without you even trying. I love your eyes. I could go on forever but my point is I love you so so so so SO much. I hope this doesn't change anything between us because you are the best thing that has ever happened to me. I would die without you. I would even die for you" I whispered the last part but loud enough for her to hear.
"Hayes I-"
I cut her off, not done yet. " I have wanted to do this for so long. Will you, Madison Jo King, be mine?"
I saw her eyes tear up as she hugged me tight and whispered in my ear," Of course Hassy Boo"
