That cliche moment 😝:

I woke up today really excited. Matt was finally coming over for a sleepover. Suddenly a wave of nervousness overtook me and my train of thoughts.

"What if he doesn't like my house?"
"What if something goes wrong?"
"What if it gets really awkward?"

Those were just a few of the questions flying through my head at the moment. I shook my head. He's my best friend. Why am I so worried?

I got out of bed and did my quick routine to get ready for school. Thank god it's a Friday.

*arrives at school*
I walked through the doors, barely able to hide the smile on my face. I'm so excited to see Matt. Wait what is going on with me?

I suddenly felt so confused at how I was feeling because of my thoughts on Matthew. My thoughts abruptly ended at that when an arm was slung over my shoulder. I looked up to see Matt staring down at me with a smile.

"Hey"

"Hey" I smiled back.

We talked a little, with him walking me towards my classroom. Once we reached it, he gave me a quick hug and said "see you later" before walking off to class with a cute half smile.

I smiled before walking into my class. My smile soon dropped once I realized I had to deal with these morons. At least I get to hang out with Matthew later.

And that thought alone had me getting through the day.

*after school*
I was walking towards the bus when I heard my name being called. I turned around to see none other than Matthew.

"Hey I'll take you home. It'll be easier considering I'm going there anyways." He said with that cute half smile.

"Okay but don't you need your stuff?" I asked walking towards him.

"Already got everything I need" He smiled reaching for my hand. He grabbed it and then pulled me towards the car.

The car was filled with loud music, us screaming the lyrics, and laughing.

By the time we reached my house, we were laughing so hard and gasping for breath.

We walked into the house, laughing and we went to the kitchen right away. I smiled at how alike we were. We grabbed a bunch of snacks and went into the living room.

"You take all the snacks up to the room and I'll pick out a bunch of movies." Matt said pointing to my stack of movies.

"Yes sir" I saluted him while trying to keep a straight face.

He laughed at me and continued picking out movies. I grabbed all the snacks as best as I could and ran to my room trying not to drop anything.

About a minute later, Matt came in the room and flopped on top of me, seeing as how I was laying on my stomach.

I groaned as he said,"Hey this is pretty comfortable actually. I think Imma stay like this." He laid his head on my back.

"Yeah I guess it is. Because you're definitely the lightest object on this planet." I rolled my eyes, sarcasm practically dripping from my mouth.

He got off, mocking hurt as he touched his chest.

"If that's how you feel, I'm leaving." He scoffed in a sassy tone, walking towards the door.

As he reached for the door handle, I said "Oh no you don't" and jumped on his back.

"Okay okay! I'll stay!" He laughed throwing me on the bed.

We looked at each other and as if we were the same person, we both grabbed a pillow. I hit him first and soon the movies and snacks were forgotten.

When we both got tired, we flopped on the bed and just laid there catching our breath.

I stood up to get chips and on my way back to the bed, I tripped and my face slowly got closer to the floor. Right before my face was about to be friends with the floor, I felt a pair of arms wrap around me.

"You know, you can fall from the sky, you can fall from a tree, but the best way to fall is in love with me. " he continued before I could respond "look I have always liked you. I think I'm in love with y- no I know I'm in love with you. So I'm just going to wing it and just say it. Y/f/n, will you do me the honor of being my girlfriend?" Matthew asked, eyes full of hope.

"You have no idea how much I would love that Matthew." I replied smiling.

"So I guess it would be okay for me to do this" he said before crashing his lips onto mine.

When we pulled away, I looked up at him in shock.

"You know, we're actually pretty cliche." I said smiling up at Matt.

"How so?" He asked

"The whole falling in love with your best friend thing."

"I guess so. But I wouldn't have it any other way."
