Things have changed quite drastically with dad.
We used to go fishing a lot. We'd talk about one day buying the biggest boat we could. Running away and living at sea. Leaving mom home to take care of the bills and all of the real world stuff.
Of course, that was when I was a little boy. Dad was only kidding. He loves mom too much.
Now, we don't communicate at all. And if we do, he is just yelling at me for how much of a failure I am.
Some days, when I am able to tune him out, I just pretend I am sitting in that boat that we would have bought, with my old dad, sailing out at sea. All of my problems left behind.
