Luke basically jumped out of the bus rushing out. Calum and I walked out and Calum put his arm over me again. He really likes to do that, it's really cute. As we walked out I felt the cool air on my skin and I noticed the tall buildings surrounding the street. The street was so steep the sidewalk was stairs! I shivered as the cool air embraced my body and Calum held out his other arm over me and held me tighter to feel his warmth.

I felt his warm skin touch mine. Then he took off his arms and I walked ahead of him. I was walking down the steps in front of the boys and I hear, "WATCH OUT" and Luke falls onto me. He was trying to take a picture and fell from the slope on top of me. We tumbled down a couple steps and that's all I really remember.

The next thing I know I wake up in a hospital bed with an IV in my arm. Calum was by my side holding his head, and I hear "wow I can't believe this happened. Dumb ass Luke. I knew something like this would happen. I am never going to let anything happen to my Joshy again. I just really..." And he noticed I'm awake. "Oh you're awake!" And he smiled wiping a tear from his eye. He almost jumped up from his seat and hugged me really tight and I winced as he moved me and I realized I was sore and he backed up.

I saw his eyes start to tear, "I'm so sorry this happened to you, I promise I'll never let anything happen to you again, I swear I'm such an idiot I shouldn't have let you walk in front of me."

"Calum" I said. "It's okay" He teared a little again. "It's not your fault"

"yes it is, I invited you to stay it's my job to protect you" I smiled and winced again.

"It's okay Calum" "can I tell you something" I said.

"Anything, I owe you the world I let you get hurt. I promise I will never let it happen again"

"it's okay Calum"

"As you were saying"

"I ummm really like you" I said quietly.

"I like you too Josh" "but I like you differently than a friend" and I started to tear up. I was almost 100% sure Calum was straight and the thought I had zero chances with him made me sick to my stomach. He leaned in and hugged me again. And he whispered in my right ear
"can you keep a secret?"

"Anything Calum"

"No one can know, not even the boys"

"I promise" I answered.

"I like you more than a friend too".

Calum leaned in and kissed me. His lips were warm and the feeling of his lips pressed against mine was the best feeling in the world. It was like a thousand senses were going off. I opened my eyes to see his closed. He seemed so content, and happy. That's the first time I realized I might have a chance with this boy.
