Y/n and Natalie were sitting at Oliver’s when Sydney brought their drinks and left. Y/n glanced at Natalie, who smiled warmly at him, making him sigh.

Y/n: Umm… Natalie, I just wanna say that....

Natalie (cutting him off): Wait, let me go first. These past five months have been the best months of my life. You came out of nowhere and changed my world. I’m so glad I met you… I love you.

Y/n (groaning, conflicted): Oh, you’re not making this any easier. Natalie, I have something to tell you—and you’re not gonna like it.

Natalie tilted her head, watching him struggle to form the words. She reached across the table, gently taking his hand.

Natalie: Whatever it is, I’m sure it’s okay. You can tell me anything, Y/n.

Y/n (hesitant, then firm): I lied, Natalie. To a lot of people… but mostly to you. There’s no easy way to say this, but most of what you think you know about me—it’s all a lie.

Natalie (confused, frowning): What do you mean?

Before Y/n could explain, his instincts flared. From under the table, he lashed out with his legs, kicking Natalie’s chair back and shoving them both away just as a weapon came crashing down onto the table.

A hulking man in black stood there, one of Dr. Brinkman’s goons.

Y/n sprang onto his chair, then leapt again, twisting midair into a tornado kick that sent the attacker sprawling.

He grabbed Natalie’s hand and rushed her toward the back of the café, only to see more goons pouring in through the rear entrance.

Y/n (under his breath): Damn it… Chap.

He spun them around, trying to steer her toward the front exit. The goons charged, but before they could close the distance, a handful of powder burst into their faces, thrown perfectly by Oliver.

Natalie (panicked): Y/n, what’s going on?!

He gripped her hand tightly, pulling her toward the car parked just steps away. Their quick breaths mingled in the chilly night air. But before they could reach it, more shadows emerged—goons blocking their path, eyes cold and menacing.

Natalie (snapping): I’m not leaving until you tell me what’s going on!

Without hesitation, Y/n dropped into a defensive stance.

Y/n (shouting): Stay close!

Fists flew and bodies lunged. He moved like a whirlwind, slipping past a wild punch, countering with a sharp jab to a thug’s ribs. The man doubled over, giving Natalie just enough time to slip past the chaos.

Y/n (blurting out): I’m a secret agent! I was sent here to spy on you..now get in the damn car!

Natalie froze, eyes wide, before stumbling into the car. Y/n slammed another goon with a kick to the chest, then dove into the driver’s seat. Tires screeched as they sped off only to see headlights behind them. Multiple cars in pursuit.

For five long minutes, silence sat heavy between them until Natalie suddenly turned and began smacking his arm.

Y/n (wincing): What are you doing?!

Natalie (furious): How could you not tell me you were a spy?! I feel so stupid! You’ve been lying to me this whole time!

Y/n (snapping back): You can yell at me later I’ve got to lose these guys!

The car drifted hard around a corner, sparks flying. Behind them, half the convoy of cars spun out, unable to follow the maneuver.

Natalie (glaring): Can’t you call in backup? Some kind of agent team?
