Two weeks to the fight
"Your doing what?" Niall asked angrily, as Evelyn walked past him.
"You heard me, I'll be okay Niall, don't worry about me okay?" She assured him everything would be alright.
"Evelyn... ultimate fighting?! What's wrong with soccer, and softball?" He asked.
She pulled open the refrigerator, taking a bottle of water in hand and closing the door again. "It seems fun actually... and I think it'll be good for me. For handling my anger anyways. My trainer says I'm really good."
Niall shook his head in disapproval, "so for all these weeks, you haven't been at soccer and softball practices, you've been training for ultimate fighting."
"No, I've just been cutting football and softball practices short," she verified, still holding on to the football name instead of soccer. "I might not even make it in Niall, chill out."
"Chill out?" He scoffed, "your joking. Do you know how dangerous that is Evelyn?"
"I'm still standing," she said.
"For now! A professional will make sure you aren't able to walk after your done!" He claimed, lacking belief and confidence in her.
Evelyn took in a sharp breath. "Niall... I can take her. I've been training with someone who's really good, like I said."
Niall crossed his arms over his body, "I want to meet her."
"Him," she corrected.
"Oh so you've been training with a guy now? Great, that makes things even better!" He said.
Evelyn giggled, "he's the best trainer there Ni. You don't half to worry about him though, I love you," she reached up to press her lips to his, "and only you."
Niall kissed her back, crushing their bodies together to indulge in the passionate kiss. "I still want to meet the man who's been spending all this time with you."
Evelyn rolled her eyes, sighing. "Okay, tomorrow at seven till nine. But don't forget I have footie right after school then softball until six!" She called out behind her as she traveled to the basement.
"Where are you going?" Niall yelled.
"To take a shower!" Evelyn responded from her room.
Niall smirked, "I'm coming to join you."

Tuesday
Evelyn rushed into the gym, it was five minutes till seven, she was running a bit later than normal. Niall stood at the counter, responding to a text Liam had sent him.
"Hey, can I help you?" James asked Niall.
"No, I'm just waiting for someone," Niall said pointing to the bathrooms.
James nodded, "oh okay." He proceeded behind the counter.
Niall shoved his phone in his pocket, biting his bottom lip. He leaned on the counter slightly, "hey do you know a James?"
James looked up at him, "yeah, that's me."
"Oh!" Niall reached his hand across the barrier between them, "I'm Niall, Evelyn's boyfriend." James shook his hand, smiling.
"Ah, it's nice to meet you. Are you staying for her training?" James asked, Niall nodded.
"Your the one who suggested she try out for ultimate fighting." Niall said, not so friendly.
