Third person POV

Evelyn quickly scurried to her room, unzipping and pulling off her jacket. She pulled open her door, expecting to be alone, dropping her bag in front of the closet door, a pair of strong arms wrapped around her mid-section. Evelyn gasped, a nose nuzzling the crook of her neck.

"Where were you?" He demanded, to her sigh of relief, it was only Niall. Evelyn struggled to free herself, Niall only tightened his grip, continuing to kiss her neck. "Tell me." He said.

She whimpered. "Niall... please, let go of me."

"Not until you tell me where you were."

Evelyn took his hands in hers, "I-I was fine... I told you I just needed space."

"Your knuckles say otherwise," he whispered. She pushed him away, this time he let go. "Evelyn why are you always so secretive?" Niall almost yelled. "Honestly! I don't care if you've been getting in fights, I just want to know what's so wrong with telling me where your going!"

Tears filled her eyes, normally she wasn't one to cry, but his words found a way to hurt her somehow. "Is that what you think of me? A troublemaker... going out to pick fights because my boyfriend kissed the girl I hate?"

"What else am I supposed to think Evelyn?! You don't tell me anything! Last night was the first you've opened up in years!" Niall fired back. He stepped closer, as she stepped further away. Her back touched the cool wall, as Niall's hand reached up to touch her cheek, his thumb wiping away a tear she failed to see fall.

"Don't touch me." She whispered, shrugging him off and heading into the bathroom.

Evelyn locked the door, switching the shower on and turning it to hot water. She undressed and stepped into the heated liquid, letting it wash away her feelings... for now.

A good twenty minutes later she turned it back off, wrapping a towel around her body snuggly and tying her hair in a braid. She exited her room, holding the towel up with a free hand. Niall surprised her, sitting on the edge of her bed. "I thought you left?"

Niall rose from his seat, "I made a promise to myself, years ago, that I would never let the girl I love walk away from me, I broke that promise today, I'm not going to do it again." He moved in front of her, taking her injured hand in his.

"You still love me?" She whispered the question.

He nodded, "I'll always love you."

Evelyn stretched up on her tippy toes to kiss him on the cheek, before walking into her closet to dress herself properly. She re-emerged from the small room of clothes about three minutes later, wearing a tight pink shirt and black short shorts. Niall was leaned up against the wall, he approached her, pressing their foreheads together, taking her hand.

"Evie... please tell me where you were today." He asked yet again.

"Niall-"

He was quick to cut her off, "no! No more excuses Evelyn! I'm over it... either you tell me where you were this whole time, or we're done... I won't live like this."

Evelyn exhaled. "I was..." she paused, unsure of how to continue with this. He stared at her, waiting for more words. "I'm not happy Niall..." she proceeded.

He brushed a loose strand of hair behind her ear, "what do you mean?"

She failed to meet his sparkling blue eyes, "I don't know," she whispered, shaking her head.

Niall filled the space between the two. "Please tell me, don't shut me out." Evelyn didn't speak, she felt the ground disappear from underneath her, as Niall scooped her up into his arms.
