The Crash

I don't remember much about the crash.

Everything seems like a blur now. It just happened so fast.

All I remember was the plane shaking violently, I heard people screaming all around me and I was having a panic attack.

I looked beside me to see my two best friends sobbing and closing their eyes tightly and I knew they were accepting the fact that we were going to die.

I began crying too, there was so many things I didn't get to do. So many things I was planning.

My family...I promised them I'd be safe and here I am, a few minutes away from death.

My heart felt like it was going to burst out of my chest and the palm of my hands were sweating.

"It'll be over soon..." I tried to to tell myself but it wasn't helping at all knowing what was waiting for me soon.

I imagined my body torn into pieces and burned from the flames because that's how everyone in this plane was going to die.

I put my head down and covered the back of my head with my hands hoping that it might help some how but my hope was draining.

Two days after the crash•

My eyes opened violently and I was facing the sky.

I sat up slowly and my body was covered in mud. I wiped my nose and blood smeared at the back of my hand.

Parts of my clothes were shredded and when I tried to move my leg I screamed because it was broken.

I looked around me and parts of the plane were scattered everywhere, small fires around that haven't gone out and dead bodies.

My throat felt dry and my stomach was growling.

Suddenly I heard a few whispers behind me and when I turned my head around I saw two of my classmates.

"Hello?" I asked but it sounded more like a whimper.

"How bad are you hurt?" Scott asked. Scott was a pretty athletic guy and well known at school. His eyes were light brown, had shaggy black hair, and was pretty muscular.

"I can't move my leg" I told him and looked at my right leg.

The guy with him was Matt. Matt was a pretty smart dude, everyone knew he was going to make some kind of company one day. He was tall, had dark blue eyes, and has brown hair. He looks pretty muscular too.

"Here's some water" Matt said giving me a big leave with a small amount of water. "Sorry...we didn't know anybody else was alive."

"When did you guys wake up?" I asked drinking the water too fast.

"We both woke up a few hours ago..." Scott answered.

"Is there anybody else...alive?" I asked and I felt like crying again.

"Yes...there's four others we dragged away from here." I looked up quickly and said "Do you know anyone there named Katie or Jackie?".

"Nobody has made conversation...still trying to process what happened." Matt said.

We stayed in silence for a couple of seconds when Scott finally broke it. "Let's get you there" he said and he grabbed my arms while Matt carried my legs.

I screeched and cried when Matt picked up my right leg. The feeling was unbearable.

When we finally got there I looked at everyone hoping to see Jackie and Katie.

But I only saw Jackie.
