Chapter 9: New Friends

So this is the part of the story where my life totally turns around. Scratch that. More like freaking U-turns.

It started with the question. "How much do you know about Greek Mythology?"

After giving my parents a solid. "What are you talking about." They gave me a run over of everything and I mean everything.

So I guess when your moms a child of Athena she's going to make sure your knowledgeable about this stuff.

She summed it all up with, "-and so you have the blood of the gods."

"Oooookay." Was my genius reply.

Dad looked at me with sympathy like he knew what I was going through. "Now about the matter of leaving you to our friends-" he stopped. "Do they know your here?"

I laughed dryly. "Not a clue."

Annabeth/mom sighed, "Come on let's go IM them." She and Percy ran off.

"But- and they're gone." I plopped down on a rocking chair exhausted.

I sat there rocking for a second when I noticed three teenagers watching me from a distance. I pretended not to see them but they made it pretty hard because they walked right up to me.

2 boys and a girl all three seemed to be around my age in there fourteens or fifteens.

The girl spoke first. "So your really her? Percy and Annabeths daughter?"

I looked her over. She looked about as tall as me with long blond hair and crazy colored eyes (don't ask me the color because I couldn't tell you). She was pretty looking but she gave off a don't mess with me vibe.

"The one and only." I replied a little bitterly.

This brought smiles to all three of there faces. "Finally!" Said a smaller boy.

He had tan skin and a wild smile with dirty blonde curly hair and almond shaped eyes.

I guessed my confused look set them off be used the last kid decided to introduce himself. "I'm Andrew Zhang."

He seemed kind of like the quiet type to me. He had stunning gold eyes and chocolate brown skin with very dark curly hair to top it off.

"Daniel Valdez." He flashed me with another crazy grin.

"Lily Grace." She said smiling sweetly at me.

"Jackie Ridley or should I say Jackson now."

Daniel stifled a laugh. "Jackie Jackson? Really?"

I glared at him. "I mean Jackie Jackson cool name!" Lily rolled her eyes.

"So you guys have been expecting me?" I said ignoring Daniel.

They all shared glances. "You could say that." Lily said. "But it's really not our place to say."

"Ok then so who will tell me."

"Oh that would be Rachel our Oracle." Daniel said it so casually I thought I might have misheard him.

"Oracle seriously?"

They all nodded. That's when my parents came running back. "Man you gave them quite a scare, but it's all sorted out so let's get you settled in." Percy said.

Then he noticed the others and smiled. "I see they've already found you. Daniel, Andrew, lily."

They answered back with a chorus of hey's and hello's.

"Ok let's get going." Percy said to me.

"We will talk to you later." Lily promised then the trio walked away.

Percy lead me to a low cabin with sea shells around it but I was too tried to care. I fell over in a bunk and fell asleep.
