"Emma!" Piper called. "Hurry up! you're going to be late for the bus!"
"Coming Mom!"
Emma bounded down the stairs, quickly gave her mother a kiss on the cheek and raced for the door.
"Don't forget. Your aunt Phoebe will be picking you up from school! " The door slammed shut before she could get an answer. She rolled her eyes at her daughter.

Emma raced as fast as her legs could carry her as she made her way down the street to the bus stop. Luckily, the bus had just pulled up by the time she got to the stop.
" Late again , Swan?" The driver asked jokingly, as she plopped herself down in the open seat next to her old friend August.
"You know it, David." He laughed. David and Emma had an interesting yet close relationship. David was her uncle . He was the only connection to her real parents she had. The doors squeaked shut as he sped down the highway.
She sat in a kind of awkward silence with August. This wasn't odd. He wasn't a big talker and neither was she. He tried to start a conversation as best he could.
"So... some homework we had last night huh..." She nodded slightly as he continued.
" Did you finish it?"
She laughed.
"Yes I did. Did you?"
He slumped down slightly and shook his head.
She laughed again and pulled her work out of her bag.
"Here. You better start writing. We are almost at school." He smiled and scribbled as fast as he could before David pulled into the parking lot.

"Alright class. Everyone pull out your homework and pass it to the-" Mr.Glass was interrupted when a young girl walked in. The most beautiful girl Emma had ever seen. Her hair was pitch black and tied into a high ponytail, and her beautiful chocolate colored eyes defined with black eyeliner.
"Class. This is our new student."
The girl stared shyly at the tile floor. "Go on. Tell us your name."
She looked up from the tile an stared at Emma.
"I'm Regina. Regina Mills."
