'Lets hope that this goes well...'

⭐Levi's P.O.V⭐
"Jeez, the stupid brats gonna be late," I say as I leaned against the bars of the gate. "Lighten up, she need some positivity in her life," Erwin looked over at me. When he said that, I remembered what he had said about her life before she got here. I was about to make a usual smartass remark when (Y/n) walked up to the gate. "A-am I going to be punished for almost being late?" She asked softly. A look of fear brushed across her (e/c) eyes as she returned her gaze to the ground. "No, you're not going to be punished. But you need to look up when you speak or we won't be able to hear you," Erwin sounded like be was talking to a child. "Y-Yes sir," she said and lifted her head, still avoiding all eye contact. "Tch, why don't you look people in the eye and talk?" I barked, crossing my arms. "It's a habit, sir. I was punished for eye contact. Sorry sir," she apologized as she tugged at the cuffs of her sleeves. I rolled my eyes at her, a good tch escapes my lips. 'How can she act so innocent when she knows that she's a monster like the ones that lurk behind her somewhere? She's so pathetic and scrawny, but I can't help but want to make her better, and see her healthy... What am I saying?! This girl is... Is... I'm not sure what I think of her...' I thought as Erwin and (Y/N) were talking and I snapped out of my thoughts.
Hanji had run off to her Titan prisoners and left us here. "So I see you've began to settle in?" Erwin asked her, eying up and down her frail body. "Yes, it's quite nice. Thank you," she said. Noticing that Erwin was looking at her, a tint of pink spread out upon her cheeks. "So, Levi. Mind staying with (Y/N) for a few nights to keep an eye on her?" Erwin asked, raising one of his (overly large) eyebrows. "Tch, whatever," I say rolling my eyes again and signaling to open the gates.
Once on the other side, the sound of metal hitting the ground told me that I was on the dangerous side of the walls, with a Titan shifter as my only other company. 'This brat is going to be the death of me,' I thought as we walked into (Y/n)'s little home. "Jeez, we're definitely cleaning this disgusting place tonight," I said, looking around at all of the dirt and dust in the house.
After getting rags and a bucket of water, (y/n) began to scrub the floors of the kitchen as I began in the main room, opening a window and letting sunlight enter, and dust exit. 'This place is filthy. So much dirt,' I complained to myself. From the kitchen, I heard a light singing, realizing that it was (Y/n)... She was singing a song that I was quite familiar with:

How can you see into my eyes like open doors,
Leading you down into my core where I've become so numb?
Without a soul,
My spirit sleeping somewhere cold,
Until you find it there and lead it back home...
Wake me up inside,
Wake me up inside,
Call my name and save me from the dark.
Bid my blood to run,
Before I come undone.
Save me from the nothing I've become...

As she ended that part, she quieted down and was now only a quiet hum. I turn my head around the corner to look at (y/N), her (e/c) meeting with my steel gray ones,"you have a very nice voice. That's a good song, too," I said and turned back around and continued my cleaning.
  -time skip-
(Y/N) and I finally finished cleaning up the little house she was living in. It had gotten dark and I was supposed to stay with the brat for the night anyways. 'Thank God the Titans don't usually roam this area of the walls...' I thought as I finished packing up my cleaning supplies and setting them neatly by the door. "Sir, you may have the bed, I'm fine with the couch," (Y/N)'s voice rang through the small house. "Tch." She looked back down at the now clean floor, her hands held together in front of her like a bow. She seemed a little upset... "What's wrong, brat," I said. I sat on the couch and crossed my legs, and arms stretched across the back.
She said something quietly, to where I couldn't hear her, "I told you to make eye contact while talking," I snapped. (Y/n) flinched at my sudden outburst and slowly looked up. Steel eyes met (e/C) ones. "I said, I'm sorry for causing trouble. If I mess up anything, I'll get as far away from the walls as possible and never disturb it. I hate to be a burden, sir," she said, a small frown tugging at her lips. "Why do you do this stuff?" I asked.
"Always apologizing for nothing and flinching at the slightest hint of anger," I explained to her. "As you know, I had a terrible past. If I messed up, I was beat. If my master was mad, he would take it out on me. Not much to explain," she said. "Corporal, its late. You may have the bedroom tonight," she said as she walked to a closet and grabbed some blankets.
I got up and made my way to the room. I closed the door behind me and stripped myself of my shirt and pants, leaving me in only my boxers. I heard the door open and close quickly behind me as I walk out and see (y/n) covering her face, "extra blankets, sir," she said as she handed them to me, "I apologize for not knocking," she said. Her back was to me, as she refused to look at me. "Tch. Forget it," I said as I closed the door and set them on the foot of the bed.
I thought to myself, 'That bastard treated her like a monster. He should have treated her nicer, and not beat and starve her. He'll pay for what he did to the poor girl. I'm paying that bastard a visit tomorrow and I'm bringing (y/n) with me.'

(A/N) ooooooohhhh Levi's beginning to have some slight feelings for you! ~ Anyways, this was written long before it was published so I had time to edit and correct any mistakes. If I happened to miss any, please let me know!
