-(y/n)'s P.O.V-
I walked deeper into Titan Territory as my mind flooded with the last few hours events.
-flashback-
"C'mon brat, you can do better than that," Levi spat, "if you can't even succeed in hand-to-hand combat, you're completely worthless." What he said had hurt me, like the butterflies in my stomach had been sprayed with bug repellent. I had learned to care about the corporal... And then he goes and calls me worthless in front of everyone else. He easily flipped me to the ground, hitting my head on the earth below me. My vision was in and out for a minute, the black dots beginning to fade. He crouched down beside me, back to the others, "are you all right, (y/n)? You've been laying there a while," Levi said, a foreign emotion was in his eyes, one I hadn't seen before.
He quickly blinked it away, showing no sign of it every being there. I sat up, the black dots returning. I close my eyes and wait for the world to stop spinning, and a hand pulled me to stand. Opening my (e/c) orbs, I see the raven haired man walking me to the gate, where right outside, my house sat.
We walked in, Levi's personality instantly changing, "I'm sorry, I didn't know you'd hit the ground that hard, and your bleeding. Damnit why is it so hard to be rude to you?!" He clutched the sides of his head in frustration. "Levi, are you okay? What's wrong?" I ask, putting a hand on his shoulder. "You. You are what's wrong. I don't know why but I-I-" I cut him off, tears threatened to fall. "If I'm the worthless problem, then why didn't you just leave me out there to be killed by Titans? Why didn't you just kill me yourself? I'm just a monster, remember?" I say quietly, almost a whisper. I look down, my (h/c) hair falling in front of my eyes so he couldn't see the tears falling from my face. "(Y/n), that's not what I meant-" he tried to explain. "No. I see how it is and how you all see me. Don't bother looking for me," I say, darting out the front door, sprinting with all the strength I had left. I heard him calling after me, but I ignored it and ran into the woods. Titan Territory... 'Where a monster like me belongs...'-reality-
I ran and ran and ran until I couldn't anymore. Everything was sore, bruised, or just in pain. I walked up on a tree, a few low hanging branches, making it climbable. I began to make my way to the top as a slipped, falling a good distance. Sharp pain stabbed through my ankle. I must've sprung it falling. I attempted to stand on it, only to fall back to the ground.
I crawled across the dirt and grass and mud to a tree, hollowed out and big enough for me to sit in. I crawled into the little sitting hole, my entire body fitting in the hollow oak tree. A grabbed a few branches and covered the entrance hole, to make sure I couldn't be seen. Only a few minutes after I had finished, large footsteps grew nearer and nearer, and I knew this titan was big. Think. Thump. Thump. The sound terrified me, knowing that I could die in the next few seconds. Another sound made me jump, a ziiip of 3D Maneuvering Gear could be heard overhead, the blades slicing through the Titan's skin. Following the kill, hooves came into earshot, the Corps coming after me.
"(Y/n)! Are you OK?! Are you out there somewhere?!" A voice, Hanji, shouted. I covered my ears, a wimper escaping my quivering lip. I closed my eyes, the tears naturally flowing now. I put down my hands, and wrap them around myself, crying as quietly as I could. I leaned against the truck of the tree, resting my head against it. I heard my protective makeshift curtain of branches being moved from their place, "(y/n)... Please come back..." Levi. He wanted me to go back? Why? I nodded, and crawled out of the hiding hole. I tried to stand up again, but my ankle wouldn't allow it as Levi's strong arms caught my as I lost balance. He picked me up and placed me on his horse, leading it as we walked back to the walls.
"I'm sorry I ran... I was just hurt..." I explained to Levi, who had been staying with me during the night. "It's ok," he sat beside me, and threw an arm around my shoulder. I felt my face heat up, but soon pushed away, my skin returning to its original shade. "What I was going to tell you earlier... It's that I can't be rude or mean to you because..." He sighed and shook his head, removing his arm from my shoulder. "Never mind, don't worry about it..." He said, a hint of sadness in his voice. "Just tell me," I commanded, making him look at me. He leaned forward, as I did too. Our lips grazed each others, "Because I love you," he whispered, our lips finally making contact. He ran his fingers through my (h/c) locks, as I did his raven black hair. His steel eyes were closed calmly. We parted, catching our breath. "Guess what," I said quietly. I leaned up to his ear, "I love you too."
