The Next Day
"Blake, we need to talk." Weiss said over her cereal. Yangand Ruby had already left to check on Chuck before they went to class.
"About Chuck or Yang?" Blake said, still visibly shaken upover the whole ordeal.
"Both, but Chuck right now." Weiss replied, lowering hervoice so only Blake could hear her.
"He talked to me last night, and I almost stabbed him withMyrtenaster." She said, looking worried.
"What stopped you?" Blake replied, taking a bite of herpastry.
"He said that Ruby wouldn't forgive me if I did that, andthat only my rapier could make a hole that size. And if I burned him, it wouldcause a rift between her and Yang, whom she would blame." Weiss said, hand onMyrtenaster's hilt.
"He's right about that, we need to negotiate a standoffbetween us where we stay out of each others' hair, or fur for that matter."Blake said, standing up and starting towards the dorms. "It's time to finishthis once and for all."
At The Dorms
"Ah girls, I've been expecting you!" Chuck said as Weisswalked into the room, causing Blake to jump slightly.
"Why am I not surprised you're waiting for us?" Weiss asked, taking a seat at the table.
"Because you expected me, as I was expecting you!" Chuckreplied, chuckling.
"One second, let me see who this is." Blake said, reachinginto her bag for her scroll to see it was a text from Yang.
"Is it Yang? Read the text out loud. We all know what youwant it to be." Chuck said, causing Blake to blush.
"No! It's not that, anyways. It says, 'Hey Blake, have youheard Chuck's laugh yet? I guess you could call it a CHUCKle!' and that's all."Blake said, putting her scroll away before noticing Chuck's expression turn tohorror for a split second.
"What's wrong Chuck?" Weiss asked, before his expressionturned back to normal.
"Nothing, just a bit of a mechanical glitch. Now, let us negotiate. You girls want me our of your hair, and I want you to be nice to me, so youthink us both just going our separate ways will work?" Chuck said, a suspiciouslook arising in his mechanical eyes.
"That about sums it up." Blake said, not believing she hadto bargain for her life with a small mechanical bird.
"Like I said, if you're nice to me, I won't lay a finger onyou two, Ruby, or Yang. Or Team Juniper, for that matter." Chuck said, eyesglancing over towards their dorm. "That Jaune fellow wouldn't be that hard totake on now would he?"
Jaune tensed up inclass, feeling Pyrrha's hand on his shoulder.
"What's wrong Jaune?Stub your toe again?" Pyrrha asked worriedly.
"I feel like I wasjust insulted again, but this time worse." He sighed.
"Leave them out of this like they were before! Blake, Ithink it's time to do this. We can always get Ruby a new one, one untarnishedby this evil." Weiss said, putting Chuck into her bag.
"What are you doing? How dare you betray me?" Chuck's voicecame muffled from the bag.
"Agreed." Blake said, walking with Weiss to the edge ofBeacon Academy, where there lay a giant cliffside, about a thousand feet abovethe ground.
"Hey Blake, have you ever player Baseball?" Weiss said, reaching to grab Chuck out of her bag.
"What are you- Oh my, that's a deep chasm isn't it?" Chuckasked, seeing Blake pull out Gambol Shroud sheathed.
"Hey, batter batter!" Weiss yelled, seeing Blake take abatter's stance with Gambol Shroud as the bat.
"You can't do that, I'm warning you!" Chuck yelled, beforebeing thrown through the air and smacking against Blake's weapon, gettinglaunched over a hundred feet horizontally from the cliff.
"Well that was relaxing." Blake said, putting Gambol Shroudin her bag and walking back to the dorms.
