Katzin typed on her Ogretop, her eyebrows furrowing in discontent whilst grinding her teeth together.
"you did wh@t to my b@thtub," she messaged, fingers gliding over the keys, furious at her server.
Waiting for a reply from Aremus, she closed her eyes and drew a deep breath as the comet grew closer.Aremus glared at his laptop. He was making good decisions and was quick into action. To be honest, he was the best server player there was.
"wEll it was gEtting in thE way and wE nEEDED grist. what ElsE was i supposE to Do?"
Anyway, enough about her bitching, it was time to deploy the items. She sighed and rolled her head back. He was right of course, as always. But somehow, the thought of her lacking a bathtub struck her as both unhygienic and inconvenient.
"ok. deploy everything in the lounge room, ill figure out how to use it," she sent, carefully avoiding all a's."okay." Aremus started deploying the cruxtruder slowly moving the large object to the lounge room when all of a sudden his lusus roared. Aremus jumped in surprise before a sense of dread washed over him. Whoops.
Rushing down the stairs, two at a time so as to move quicker, Katzin's fingertips trailed the sidebars. She stopped with two stairs to go, halting in her tracks, peering over the railing and clutching the Ogretop to her chest. A large, clunky white machine clogged the hallway. A narrow tube extended from a thick base, with a black logo depicted atop it. Her heart stopped. What was her lusus going to think?
Ahhh. Well might as well deploy the other stuff as well. Alchemiter made it to the lounge. "at lEast i managED to gEt somEthing right by hEr stanDarDs." Aremus sighed. Next was the Totem Lathe. It would appear that one ended up in the bathroom. Right. Aremus faceplamed. He will have to pretend this was all part of the plan.
A loud *clunk* from upstairs signalled the arrival of another machine. She sighed yet again, re-opening Trollian. "how do i open the tube thingy in front of me? if i hit it enough, would th@t work?"
"My sErvEr playEr suggEstED that to mE." Aremus rolled his eyes at the sound of things moving around his house. He wasn't happy with his server player, they had killed of one of his servants.
"wE havE to hit it with somEthing hEavy. wait hErE, ivE got this."
Aremus picked up the toilet and moved it above the cruxtuder.Katzin raised a hand to her mouth in shock, stifling a laugh. A mouse clicker appeared out of no where, dragging her toilet through the ceiling (albeit sending chunks of plaster everywhere) and down onto the tubey thing.
"good job, @remus. truly."Aremus grinned. "Yes well, watch out." The toilet was dropped and smashed onto the cruxtuder, realising the unprototyped sprite. This was all too satisfying.
A lime green orb rose from the machine, spiralling and whirring away. Katzin stared at it, unsure of how to proceed.
"wh@t the fuck do i do now?" she questioned."Ahh, wE havE to chuck somEthing in it bEforE that timEr runs out" Aremus informed her. "MinE hasn't bEEn prototypEd EithEr."
"oh shit," she messaged, glancing around for anything to prototype it with.
in the corner lay her lusus, nestled up in its bed, paws tucked beneath its head, snoring away peacefully. her subtle lime frame shook up and down steadily, mane rustling.
an unsavoury thought crossed her mind. she instinctively drew her scythe and shuddered as she drew the blade closer to her lusus' neckAremus watched in shock as the blood spilled on the screen. Well, it wasn't a bad idea for a prototype but honestly? He didn't have it in him. Maybe he should flick a message to his server player to do it? He shakily types his condolences to Katzin. He wasn't surprised that she had it in her. Katzin was strong.
Repressing every emotion she had, Katzin picked up her lion lusus and held her across her shoulders, walking towards the cruxtruder. Swallowing hard, she threw her lusus into the orb and stood back as it grew bright green, flashing and swirling. She closed her eyes, blinded by the light. When she opened them again, Lionsprite was floating in front of Katzin, her mane awash in ethereal beauty.
Aremus sighed and flicked the message to his server player. The lusus seemed to come back to life once they were prototyped. But his server player told him to do it himself.
"hE hE it sEEms i havE to do thE samE! You work on making the cruXitE DowEl." Aremus got up and walked towards his lusus."ok@y," she replied, not knowing what the fuck he was talking about.
Aremus walked up to his lusus, candlestick in hand. His lusus, it was just, it was just sleeping! Aremus felt a cool liquid dribbling down his face as he thrusted his candlestick into his lusus. When Aremus got back to his laptop, red and blue were staining his hands.
"okay, Katzin lEts go through thE nEXt stEps. you nEED to makE a cruXitE dowEl on the cruxtudEr."
Katzin nodded, to nobody in particular, and turned the wheel to release multiple cruxite dowels. "now wh@t?" she questioned, thankful for the invention of Trollian.
"okay. you nEED to put thE DowEl in thE totEm lathE." Aremus instructed her, glancing up sadly at his bearsprite before focusing back on his laptop.
She blinked slowly, the names taking a while to register. Picking up a dowel, she inserted it into the lathe.
"wh@t now?" she messaged."There should be a lever somewhere? Pull that." Aremus instructed Katzin..
She nodded, pulling the aforementioned lever, noticing a time ticking downwards on a screen atop the cruxtruder.
Aremus grinned as he watched it all play out on his screen. Now in Katzin's house was a blue snowflake like thing.
"Break it. I'll see you soon after I've done mine." Aremus got up and put his dowel in the totem lathe and soon in his hand was a crescent moon. He lifted his hand, and dropped it. His timer never made it past the 19 seconds it displayed last.Katzin glanced at the icy snowflake displayed in front of her. As she finished reading his message, her sympathetic nervous system came into play; shutting off digestion, drawing blood away from her skin and heightening the adrenal gland's adrenaline production. She picked up the snowflake and marvelled at its raw, chiseled beauty, her larynx constricting.
21, the screen displayed.
She closed her eyes, as if to ignore Lionsprite's glaring gaze, and threw it to the ground. We Aremus finally awoke. He was surrounded by darkness. A moon that reflected no light. The only thing that made any light at all were the fireflies but even they did not reveal all the secrets of the land for in the darkness, lied monsters.
Aremus felt lost, but something seemed to click in his mind. A voice was saying something? And then suddenly it became clear.
Welcome, to the Land of Darkness and Life.
Aremus felt something die inside him. Nothing had changed. He was stuck in the same world over and over again. To think maybe it would change. Ha. He was so very wrong.
A rustle in a bush. She flicked her head around, confused as to where she was. Rising to her feet, albeit shakily, she observed the snow coating the ground and the white-capped bushes surrounding her in a circular shape. She was in a forest clearing, with trees looming over her from all sides.
"Welcome, to the Land of Bunnies and Snow," a loud voice sounded.
Her first thought was Aremus.
