Joe's POV

I got dressed casually (a white top, black jeans and some sneakers) , since we weren't going to a restaurant, Emilia did the same (White crop top, black leggings and some sneakers), and we were basically wearing the same things. But of course she had to do all the girly things like, put some makeup on and do her hair. I left her to it because I couldn't help her do that kind of stuff. When we were ready, we took off.

I took her to a Café because she didn't like the fancy things, which I already knew, the Café was one quite close by, so it didn't take long to get there. We went inside and found a table which was free.

"You look beautiful when you wear that." I said before we came into a pit of awkward silence.

"Thank you, but you don't have to compliment me, because you're doing fine yourself." She replied back to me with a compliment.

I loved it when we talked about they way each other looks, instead of talking about our favourite colour or our favourite sport, because it's good to hear a compliment about yourself to boost your self esteem.

We had a good friendship, so we had to try to take that friendship forward, and by saying compliments about how the other person looks, it should help. Of course love isn't about the appearance, it's more about their personality (Well for me, to make a good relationship).

"What're you thinking about Joseph?" She asked me, obviously realising that I was daydreaming.

"Oh, Just about us, you know our friendship and how we compliment each other. And just how I think that love isn't about the appearance, it's about the personality. And how to move our friendship onto the next level" I confessed.

"Mhm. That is very true about how it's not about the appearance, but the personality" She began. "And I think that the way we compliment each other is sweet and cute."

"Yeah, it is. Right, what should we order?" I asked because I was starting to get hungry.

"Can I have..." She paused, looking at the menu for what she wanted. "A salad, some chips and a lemonade." She said to both myself and the waiter.

"Yes, ma'am. And you sir?" The waiter asked me.

"And can I have the same but with chicken and a coke" I replied. The waiter walked back behind the counter and gave the chef the paper which had the things we ordered on it. I turned to look at Emilia who was staring outside looking at a dog.  She looked so cute when she was clueless about things. I loved that about her.

"So, um, do you like music?" I wasn't good on dates, but I had to say something to start to know her more.

"Yeah, I do, I like pop music. You also startled me." She said chuckling after.

"Same. Sorry love." I thought I should start calling her something. I guess she liked it because she started smiling her lovely smile. It was beautiful just like her.

"It's fine love," she replied mocking what I just said

"Okay then lovely, anyhow how long is this food going to take?"  I asked even though I knew she didn't have a clue because she is not the one serving the food.

"It is going to be served in 10 hours, okay love" She sassed to me. I laughed at her comment. Why was she so cheeky and sarcastic?

"What, Joseph? Find something funny?" She sassed again, I could tell she was holding back her laughter.

"N-No" I stammered, still laughing, quietly.

"Oh really? Oh look here's our food." She replied, sarcastically at the beginning.

The food looked lovely, and so did Emilia, but that's really cheesy so I didn't say it aloud. When I looked at the waiter, he was staring at Emilia...

"Em?"

"Yes, Joe"

"Wel-That waiter i-is staring at you"

"Awe, Joe, you little cutie. Don't worry, all I want is you, okay?" She reassured me.

"Okay, sorry that I brought that up, dear"

"That is all good, dear"

"Is the food nice? it looks lovely, just like..." I paused, debating whether or not to say it, "you"

"Yes it is, and thank you, but you don't have to compliment me!"

"Okay" I said attempting to sound as sad as I could. Emilia chuckled, which made me burst out with laughter, even though I was trying to stay as serious as possible.

When we had finished our dinner, I took Emilia sightseeing to see the capital of England, London, in it's full beauty. We went on the London Eye, I hated heights (Just because I was a roof thatcher, doesn't mean I like heights) but Emilia did and I did what she wanted to because I am a nice person. :)

I would do anything for her, but as soon as this ride went up I nearly started crying.

"What's up Joe, dear?" She asked me with worry.

"I am scared of heights" I replied, trying not to burst out crying with fear.

"I think this will help." She leaned over to me and started kissing me, passionately. It was the best kiss I had ever had, her lips were soft and her scent was of perfume. This all made me want her so bad, but I knew it had to end...
