You watch the rain hit the ground with a great force. The street lights illuminate the droplets hitting the ground. It would have been a peaceful night if not for the lightning.*By the way you are now scared of lightning, sorry if your not just thought this would be a good idea for a chapter* You didn't like lightning to say the least. Just the thought that lightning kills up to 2000 people each year, *It is true I did my research*you guess the same could be said for the ocean or cars but lightning had that strange feeling that is is too advanced to be natural. It is hard to believe that electricity shoots from the sky because one day it was hot and the next it was cold.
That was just the lightning, then there is the thunder. Loud as fuck unnecessary noise with the ability to paralyse you and leave you shaking with fear. Like the lightning wasn't enough!
Every time you saw the flash and heard the thud you jumped, the recent stillness of your body forgotten. You decide to leave your room, you don't want to wake Finny because you know if you do you'll have found something scarier. You exit the bedroom hands over your ears in hope not hear the thunder raging out-side.
Sacrificing your peace you remove one of your hands from one side of your head. Your hand runs up and down the kitchen wall searching for the light switch. You hear a slight laugh come from beside you as you feel someone take your hand and put it on the smooth plastic cover of the light switch. Many thoughts flow through you mind as who this person may be. You spend a second or two trying to figure out every possible scenario in your mind but finally curiosity gets its grip on you and you turn on the lights and are greeted with the sight of perfect uniform navy hair.
"Why are you up so late?" you inquire.
"I could ask you the same thing," he retorts. You are about to answer but a crash and a flash *I'm changing my name to Doctor Seuss* stops you in your tracks and you drop to the floor, eyes shut closed and hands over ears. You don't like the idea of looking weak in front of Ciel but at the moment that is out of your control.
You slightly open one of your eyes and see that Ciel has dropped to your level and you also see he is worried. You decide to take your hands down and open your eyes a bit more.
"Y/N, are you scared of thunder?" he asks you.
You shake your head. "Not thunder so much, the lightning." Another flash leaves you in a state again. You feel a pain or arms embrace you.
"Shhh, its okay," Ciel whispers into your hair. You felt oddly calm, who knew this sort of calamity could be this easy? Who knew anything could be this easy?
That was the thing being with Ciel was easy, no matter the situation he makes you feel safe. Thinking a bit more you realize that yeah you felt safe with Ciel you kind of enjoyed the danger of Alios. Too many thoughts for one night.
Another blast of light turning the night into day for a few seconds takes all Alois and Ciel thoughts off your mind and you just go back to your little ball of fear.
Soon. Soon it'll be over. Soon it'll be calm again. Soon you won't need to be a little ball of fear. Soon, but not soon enough. Why won't this fucking storm pass already?!
