Their Vans

Kehlani had been home for 2 days , 21 for 2 days, healing for 2 days, hurting for 2 days. She wanted to go back to her condo and just sleep but she had to stay with her Aunt since the incident. She looked at her wrist and remembered the thick velvet blood dripping onto her black and white vans.
The vans that she had on with the dried blood stains on them. Her blood stains and his and hers too. All three spots were all different shades all from different people from the same place, Sharing the same shoes, feeling the same way. Feeling dead or wanting to die. Wanting to die because they weren't living enough, Ironic.
*Flashback
"Jordan why in the hell are your shoes laced so tight" Matikah and Kehlani laughed. "They're too big man, they were to little for Chance so my dad said I could have em". Jordan said smiling down at his new fresh pair of vans. "Well you should've doubled up on them thick ass socks or something" They all continued to laugh.....
SKRRRRTTTT
A big blue Chevy with the top let back pulled up on the side of the three 13 year olds.
"Aye Jordan let me holla at you for a min" a dude with a dodgers jacket and matching hat hopped out and punched jordan. Blood dripped from his mouth as the guy kicked him.
The girls yelled for him to stop. As they pulled off they helped jordan up. Kehlani would never forget how blue that jacket was.
"Are you okay Jordan?". Matikah asked. "I'm fine get off of me" Jordan snatched away from the girls. "Your shoes got blood on em" Kehlani pointed out. Jordan took off both shoes and threw them into the trees, they had liked to call the forbidden forest. Jordan started to walk home and the girls followed in silence.
A week later Jordan finally came out side again. "Jordan!!" Kehlani ran and hugged him tight. She tried to act as if nothing ever happened. "Let's go get Tikah" she was eager to have both of her friends. "Wait Keh, I have to tell you something... I'm leaving" "where are you going, when? ,why!? " she started to panic. "I'm moving to Virginia, tonight... But you cant tell Matikah... I don't want her to know until I'm gone". Kehlani sat shocked she didn't even feel the tears falling from her eyes until Jordan wiped them. She grabbed Jordan and hugged him tight. "Promise you'll come back" she looked in his eyes as they started to fill with water "I promise" .
She watched Jordan load his things at 12:14 am she watched him drive away peeking out of her window.
"Kehlani?" Her cousin called for her snapping her back into reality .
