I watch as you come close to me, taking my hands in yours before begging. "Miles please don't do this to me, please Miles" You plead to me tears streaming down your pale face, and it takes everything for me to not pull you into my arms and hold you until you calm down. A small warm tear rolls down my cheek, before allowing myself to drop your hands from mine and pull the keys from my belt loop. "Violet don't make this harder than it needs to be. Go sit on the bed or I'll have to punish you" I say sternly, giving you a look in my eyes that says, 'please just listen to me'. "Miles, please" you beg once more, before turning and walking to the bed. I turn and walk out the heavy door, turning around to face you one last time before pushing the metal door as it scraps on the concrete making the most ungodly noise. I let out a small "I love you, I'll see you soon". I shut and lock the deadbolt tightly before walking down the dark hallway and shutting the wall-like door, clicking the small almost out of sight lock. I walk out of the house locking the side door and heading to my car. I get in and throw the keys into my backpack and pull out of the driveway and back to campus.

I give Madeline a small smile as I watch her approach me in the student parking lot. "Miles I've been looking for you, where have you been? I haven't seen Violet in a couple days and I'm worried" she says, pacing back and forth. "Sorry Maddi, I just moved off campus. It was too much stress, I haven't seen Violet recently though" I say back, grabbing her shoulders to stop her from pacing. "Listen Maddi, she probably just went somewhere to get away, you know her. She does this" I say calmly to her, squeezing her shoulders in a reassuring way. She gave a small nod before adding, "you're right, she probably just needed her space again. I'm just worried because she kept getting these strange letters" I drop my hands from her shoulders and check the time on my phone, 11 o'clock. "She's probably just hiding from whatever creep is sending her those letters, Maddi. I have to get to class. Just don't worry, if she doesn't come back soon then we can worry" I tell her with a small smile before walking past her and to class.

Throwing myself into my seat in my filmmaking class I'm greeted by one of my classmates, Susie. Don't let that name fool you either, Susie is this small girl, but she is covered in tattoos and piercings, something I would never let my doll ruin her perfect porcelain skin with. She's always dressed extremely dark as if the pits of hell itself consume her of all color and personality. I watch as she leans over my desk, pushing her long dark hair over her petite shoulder, "Hey Miles, would you be interested in playing my character Ruby's love interest for the project?" She questions out, arching her back as she speaks. I look around her at the board to see "Romance Short" written across the white board, I then focus my attention on the girl leaning in front of me. "How do you know this is a project and not just a lesson?" I question, keeping my eyes planted on her dark green eyes, she lets out a soft chuckle in response which causes me to furrow my brows in confusion. Susie continues, while somehow leaning closer to me over the desk, "see this is why I need you for Ruby, your so... Odd, it's kind of cute" Out of impulse I lean back in my chair to get as far away from the odd-looking girl as possible without causing too much attention, but before I could respond, Mrs. Palestine walks in announcing for everyone to take their seats.

Once seats are taken Mrs. Palestine starts explaining our assignment, which I honestly blank out on as my mind races to you. How is your day going? Are you comfortable, how are you keeping yourself busy during my day in class? The biggest question my mind keeps going back to though, are you safe enough? I didn't leave anything behind that you could potentially get hurt on, did I? "Mr. Birch, are you with us?" I hear Mrs. Palestine's voice echo through my thoughts, tearing me from my worries. "Uh yeah, of course I am" I stutter out slightly embarrassed that I got so distracted over something so silly, of course you're safe. I made our home for you after all. "So, tell us Mr. Birch what is the assignment you have, and when is it due?" She questions, knowing I have no idea. I let out a small sigh before taking a glance in Susie's direction, who is staring back at me with an amused look on her mysterious features, before focusing my eyes onto the whiteboard behind Mrs. Palestine. "We have to make a romance short" I announce confidently, as my eyes find their way to meet my professors over tired dark brown eyes. I watch as she rolls her eyes, clearly annoyed by my misconduct. "Correct, and when do I want it by?" She huffs out, the classroom at this point is absolutely silent with all eyes on me. I decided to just give into the fact that I was obviously distracted and give a shrug. In return I get a dramatized sigh from Mrs. Palestine and a chuckle from the other students.
