I smile as I watch Madeline do a spin in the mirror, she's wearing this pastel blue and purple floral sundress, and a pair of white woven strap wedge heels. She has a soft brown smokey eye and a light pink lip.  "You look beautiful Mads, have fun" I say through a sincere smile. She finishes her spins and there's a knock on the door, she quickly races to answer it. He takes a step back from the door, taking Madeline in. "You- wow- you look beautiful" Spencer says with a smile across his lips. "Oh, hey before I forget, this was at the door for you Violet" he says, walking over to me and handing me a black envelope with my name on it, before taking Madeleine's hand and walking out the door. Once the door shuts, my smile drops and what little color I have in my face drains. I open up the envelope, Unfold the letter, and read that same small font from the first letter.

I dropped the note once I finished reading, my hands shaking from fear and anxiety. Once I collect myself, I grab my phone to check the time. Two o'clock, I jump at the sound of a knock on the door, I freeze in place before hearing a familiar voice. "V it's me, Miles." He says through the door, I rush to the door and open it up, pulling him into the room quickly, once he's in the room and the door is closed and tightly locked, I turn back to face him. "V are you okay?" he questions softly, approaching me. "No Mi, I keep getting these weird letters" I reply back, fear engulfing my words, while heading to where I dropped the paper and handing it to him. He reads the small print carefully before placing the note in his pocket and turning to meet my eyes with his. "Violet, this is serious. I'm taking this to campus security because I know you won't, in the meantime I'm taking you somewhere safe, pack a bag with essentials." He says, grabbing my backpack from the hooks on the back of my door and handing it to me. I act fast, throwing in a pair of clothes, and perfume. I grab my comfort stuffed Fox, the one my little sister got me when I graduated high school and I push it into the backpack. After I'm finished, I head out the door with Miles, holding tightly onto his arm and walking as far away from other people as I can.

We round the corner of the courtyard, into the student parking. I hop in the passenger seat of Miles red beat up Civic. "Miles, I'm scared" I whisper out, my voice still shaking. "Don't worry V, I got you. I won't let this weirdo get anywhere near you" He reassures me before pulling out of the parking lot. About twenty minutes go by when we enter a thickly wooded area, he drives carefully through the dirt road. "Hey Miles, where exactly are we going?" I question him while watching out the window as the trees pass by at full speed. "I found a little abandoned house in the woods while I was looking for an escape from school. It's not much but it's the only safe place I know." He answers, placing a reassuring hand on my shoulder "don't worry V, they won't know where you are. I'm going to drop you here, and head back to talk to the police, okay?" he says, giving my shoulder a slight squeeze before dropping his hand back to the steering wheel.

We pull into a small, abandoned house that is covered in vines. I get out of the small car and grab my bag. Miles follows me to the door. I try to push it open, but it doesn't budge, I give Miles a concerned look, "that's strange it's usually unlocked" he sighs out, shrugging his shoulders and starting to pace back and forth. "Okay, do you feel safe just hanging out here for just like an hour, while I go talk to them. I'll tell them where you are and I'll come back with them" He states, in the tone of a question. I give him a nod and sit down next to the metal black door, holding my bag tightly in my lap. I watch as Miles walks back to his car, and speeds out of the driveway, and back in the direction of the campus. I nervously scan the thick trees, watching for any movement, and squeezing my bag tighter with every noise.

I jump from the sound of a twig snap echoing through the trees. I looked around quickly, not being able to see anything in sight other than the eerie trees. I gripped my bag even tighter than I thought I could. My hands trembling in fear. I stare down at the ground praying that this is all just a big joke someone is playing on me. I notice a pair of black beat-up work boots directly in front of me, too scared to look up at who the feet belong to I decide to just squeeze my eyes shut and pretend this isn't happening. That's when I hear an oddly familiar voice "You're already here, I've been searching for you this whole time, and you came to me. I knew you were excited." The voice says. I begin to rock back and forth refusing to face my reality. "Why?" I question the person in front of me, my voice shaking, eyes still squeezed shut as tight as possible. "Oh doll, you must be freezing, you're shaking, come on" the voice rings out through my ears as I feel myself being picked up. The sound of a deadbolt unlocking, caused me to snap my eyes open the second I heard the door shut and lock behind us.
