The school day comes to an end and I meet Bellamy before he has to go to practice.

"So did you hear about the new girl?" I say, getting a conversation started.

"Oh yeah. The terrifying one." He says with a laugh.

"Turns out she's my new table partner in art"

"Oh I bet you must have had some riveting conversations" he says with another grin and I roll my eyes jokingly.

"She's not as bad as everyone says to be honest." When I say this he raises his eyebrows. "Yeah she's a monster on the field but she's quiet in class"

"Pft... Soccer captain isn't as cool as football captain though" he shoots me a wink and I can't help but roll my eyes again and he slings his arm around my shoulder and pulls me in. "Speaking of football, I gotta go. See you later." He's quickly swept away by a bunch of his sweaty team members.

I'm walking out to my car when I see Lexa and the rest of the girls soccer team, it seems, crowded around a car that happens to be parked right next to mine. Great. I'm surprised that Lexa is in the middle of it, the other girls looking at her admiringly. Luckily for me, it seems to be breaking up as I am nearing my car.

"Hey Clarke!" I hear someone say behind me and I can't help but think about who the hell could possibly be calling me. I turn around to see Lexa walking towards me.

"Any way you could take me home?" She asks.

"I can take you home Lexa" one of her teammates say.

"No, it's okay. Clarke's got me" she says before I can even answer. I nod and unlock my car.

I'm surprised that she did that and it makes me very confused. I've only talked to her once.

"So I see you are really getting along with your team." I start.

"Yeah. My mom always said I was a natural born leader." She smiles briefly but try's to hide it by studying her fingers. I had never noticed it before but she has a hint of accent in her voice that I hadn't noticed before.

"Where did you move from?"

"Detroit." She says simply, staring out the window.

"Really? But like where are you from?"

"Detroit." She says, enunciating it condescendingly.

"Oh I swear I heard a bit of accen-"

"Nope. Born and raised in Detroit." She cuts me off.

I can tell she's on offensive now so I decide not to press further.

She quickly changes the subject while directing me to her house. I do most of the talking which I'm guessing is normal for her. I can tell we are entering the rich part of town. My family is well off and I would consider the house we live in pretty large but these are massive. She directs me a stately house and can't help let a "woah" slip out.

"Well thanks for driving me home" she says and quickly slips out of the car. She just a book of mysteries.

I drive home more confused than ever. I meet this girl today that at first seemed liked like she was out to get me, now basically forcing me to drive her home, acting as if we had been friends since we were little.
