Caroline's POV

"Hi," I said, rather nervously, "I'm Caroline, your friend over there, Harry, told me to come over here to meet you all, mostly to get my friend alone. But still, hi!" I mumbled the whole thing entirely too fast, but Louis didn't seem at all intimidated.

"Hi," he said in a British accent as well."I'm Louis. This is Niall, and those two blokes over there are Liam and Zayn." He nodded in the direction of a tan boy with big eyes and a quaff, and another boy with a shaved head and a kind smile.

I took the hand that Louis offered for a shake and instead of shaking it, I looked at him, and he understood. We raised our fists, and bumped them, making explosion noises as we brought them apart. I glanced over my shoulder, and saw Kiara Lyn and Harry making small talk.

"So, what is your next class, mine is 'The Art Of The Stage'." Louis blurted. Niall coughed and Louis quickly added, "All of us do."

"I do too!" I screeched. "Wanna be partners? That would be so cool, and we could rehearse in our dorm, and preform 'Hamlet' where literally everybody dies. Or we could do 'Les Miserables' which means 'The Miserable' in English. I should probably stop talking before I embarrass myself further, right?"

"It's ok! I like hearing you talk." He blushed, and I'm pretty sure my blood vessels dilated too."I mean, pretty clothes, no....um.....erm." I looked down, I was wearing a lace fitted crop top, a mint high-low skirt and galaxy Vans. I heard a grumble coming from Niall's stomach, and instantly pulled out my emergency Snickers. I handed it to him and his eyes widened.

"From now on, Caroline, you are my best friend." His voice was lower than Louis but he had a very obvious Irish accent.

I could tell by Louis body language that he wasn't very comfortable with that, and I had the sudden urge to ask him out on a lunch date.

"Mr. Louis, would you be ever so kind as to go on a lunch date with me this afternoon, say 12:30?" I asked in a mock British accent.

"Why, Miss. Caroline, I thought you would never ask." He replied.

All of class, me and Louis were writing notes to each other, things like 'What did the almond say to the peanut? Well? Cashew later!' And just little things about ourselves, like the fact that Louis favorite veggie, carrots, are my favorite veggies. And that I am a dog person, and so is he. We also talked about our friends, and what they are like until...

"Miss. Hoult? Hello, is there a Caroline Hoult here?" The teacher, Mr. Jacksons asked. I raised my hand and he told me probably the most humiliating thing ever. "Ma'am, please come up to the stage and sing a song of your choice, and I will choose what group to put you in."

Sing. Sing. Sing. Sing. Sing in front of Louis? No way Jose. Or Jackson. Then Louis spoke, "Sing to me. Not at the others, TO ME." He whispered. I whimpered and slowly walked off of the risers, and onto the stage. Every bodies eyes were on me.

Louis POV

She opened her mouth and the most beautiful voice I have ever heard rang out. She sang the song, I Will Always Love You, by Whitney Houston, a song made for women of a different build than Caroline. She was very fit, and really tall. She was up to my eyebrows, and had chocolate brown hair that fell to the small of her back, and eyes that changed color so much that I couldn't tell whether they were grey or hazel. Her lips were full, and her teeth were amazing. She sung with such ferocity that I thought she was Whitney.

I looked at her friend and Harry. He was staring mouth agape at Caroline, with Kiara Lyn explaining how Caroline could actually sing like that. I will admit, felt very possessive of her. When Niall even threatened to be her 'best friend' I was really jelly.

She was reaching the chorus, and even Mr. Jacksons stared at her. When she finished, she got a standing ovation, and she looked straight at me.

Caroline skipped back to her seat, and I hugged her. She was shocked at first, but then hugged back. "You were amazing." I breathed. She pulled back, and stared into my eyes for a second then mouthed, 'Thank You.'
