(Danny POV)
I was scared and I almost shat my pants. Lord if you're hearing me now, bless me that she will say yes. I was on my knees holding up the box to her waiting for her answer.
She knows I'm waiting and she's purposely taking her own sweet time. Cheeky little bugger, she killing me.
Just waiting for an answer, the seconds feels like hours. The anxiety was making me sweat everywhere. Dammit!
She looks at me and opens her mouth. That's when I felt time slows down.. I continue to stare at her, the words she utters could either make me jump for joy or break my heart... Lets just be positive here.
“YES! YES I WILL!” She proclaims. The words just keeps repeating in my mind. My heart swells with happiness and love. I get up and slide the ring into her finger. I pull her into a passionate kiss. I poured my heart and soul into that very kiss because no amount of words can describe what I'm feeling right now.
I lick her lower lip asking for entrance which she instantly opens. I explore her mouth with my tongue while her tongue plays with mine. I grip her waist to pull her closer to me and she hooks both her arms around my neck. When the need to breath outweighs our lust, we separate and I lean my forehead on hers.
“I love you so much Scarlet. Thank you…” I said with all honesty. She looks into my eyes and moves her hand to my cheek to wipe of my tears. I so happy. I didn't care it wasn’t manly to cry. I had the most wonderful, most loving and caring woman as my soon-to-be wife. Screw what they thought.
“ I love you too Danny” she says and it held so much love in it. In that moment, I felt so happy that I could explode.
The band came back in and started playing. I brought out my hand for her and said “Will you dance with me my love?”. She took my hand and replies “ I would love to my love”.
By then the table that use to occupy the floor is gone and ready for our dance and we sway to the music all night.
By the time we finish, it was quite late. As we grab our things, I move to hold her hand and we walk towards the car. I open the door at her side and let her slide in. “ Thanks” she says. “ Anything for you my love” I reply. I close her door and head to my side. As we reach home, sleep was starting to weigh on Scarlet. Locking the car, I carry her bridal style to our bed and gently tuck her in without waking her up. I brush my teeth, change to my pj’s and slide in to cuddle with my fiancé. Just like that I too fell asleep with a smile on my face.
