The second day back is slightly better, I got out of bed feeling happy and Cody gave me a lift to school before he left to go to University. I go straight to my locker which is about five down from Hunter's and place my P.E. Kit into it."Look who we have," Hunter mumbles whilst closing her locker door to see Daniella strutting down the corridor. She's handing flyers to 'certain people' who will be coming to Drew's party. "I'm sick of her parties."
I only laugh, knowing that she's now close enough to hear what we're going to say.
"Girls! My party, Thursday night," she smiles and hands me a flyer. "Hope you can make it Maisie."
I look at her, shocked.
"What the hell? What about Hunter?"
"You didn't get the memo?" She breathes in through her teeth and looks right into Hunters eyes. "I can't have my Hunter making a fool out of herself in front of Levi, I'm trying to be a good friend."
"Hunter is one of Drew's best friends." Hunter stays quiet, too shocked to even say anything to the demon.
"It's done now, I have no more invites. Meet me for dinner so we can arrange my back to school party?" She hugs me and walks away before I can even answer.
"When did you two get so friendly?" Hunter asks me and I don't even have an answer.
"I honestly don't know what happened, just show up she won't say a thing to you because I won't let her."
"It's cool, I don't even want to go," Hunter shrugs and walks down the hall. "I'll see you at break!"
I smile back, hoping she's okay and I head to maths. The one class I struggle like hell with. It really doesn't help that my teacher always has a bone to pick with me.
"Maisie, I didn't know black jeans were school uniform." Miss McAdams says to me as I walk into the door.
"They aren't jeans, Miss." I state and take a seat quite near the back.
"Miss Butler, this is a private school. Jeans are not in the dress code and backchat will be punishable by detention."
I bite my tongue as she walks closer to me and the class fills up quick. I was in fact not wearing jeans, they are school trousers but she just loves to get on my nerves because I suck at maths.

I manage to escape the class without a detention and for that I'm glad. I walk to the dining hall where there's a table with Dylan and Hunter. I sit down with them and sigh.
"Hunter you really need to help me pass A level maths or I won't get into uni."
"Miss McAdams again? That's four years in a row." Dylan says in shock and pats me on the back.
"She's the only reason I'm failing," I put my head in my hands. "I really need your help."
"Of course I'll help, but I'm more of a music girl than a maths girl." Hunter smiles and I try to lighten my mood. She got a music scholarship into the school whereas my dad pays for my tuition.
"I know, I know. But I don't know any maths geeks and to be perfectly honest they wouldn't help me even if I asked."
Austin and Levi sit opposite us and I look at Dylan, the same confused look staring right back at me. Our table soon fills up with Nate, Drew, Greyson and Ethan. Drew sits with a smug smile.
"I hope you don't mind, I invited them to sit with us." Drew smiles and Hunter gives him a look of approval.
I felt like our friendship group had expanded by tonnes, only being used to being a group of four and going into a larger group made me fear that it might crumble.
