Good Meets Bad

Chapter 21

<Austin's POV>

I'm in a lot of pain. I look at my bloody leg. I have a lot of glass piece's in it. I screamed in pain taking pieces out. I tried to move my left arm but its broken. I look around and find Lucy on the ground. There is a guy a few feet away from her dead. Probably from the truck. I started scooting to Lucy. It hurts like a bitch. I finally got to her and she's choking on her own blood. She smiles when she sees me.

"Am I dead?" She asked. I chuckled.

"No Lucy. Your not going to either. I'm right here okay. Right here. You'll be fine." I said. I rubbed my finger along her cheek. I kissed her.

"No I won't." She said.

"Yes. You will." I said.

"I l-l-ove you A-a-u-stin." She said. I started crying even more than I was.

"I love you Lucy." I said. She started closing her eyes.

"Lucy! You're not going to die want to know why." I said.She nodded and smiled.

"Because me and you are suppose to go to prom. Were supposed to see Mockingjay part 2 together." She laughed spitting up blood. "Were going to get married. Have 3 kids. 1 girl 2 boys. Your gonna name the boys Sam and Dean. I'm gonna name the girl something when ever I think about it a lot about it. Were gonna have barbecues and were gonna say goodbye to our kids as they go off to college." I said. I smiled and so did she. Her teeth are red from the blood. I looked down and saw pieces of glass in her legs and stomach. Than when Jason stabbed her. I put my hand on the wound.

"I love you my good girl." I said choking on my tears. Her eyes are closed.

"No! Lucy! Wake up! Lucy!" I yelled. I could tell she breathing bad but she's still breathing.

"Come on. Let me see those big brown eyes. Wake up. I love you. Please. Please don't leave like everyone else does. Please. I know its hard for you right now. You can be with your mom. Happy. Smiling. I just need you. I want you to be here. Be here with me. I know I'm being selfish its just that when my mom and dad died it hurt. They wernt the best parents. They ignored me a lot and were never home. They didn't tell me they loved me before they left or went to bed." I said rubbing her head. "But you were there no matter what happened. You told me you loved me every night. I love you more than anything. You're the 'one' I'm want to - going to spend my life with. So if you can. Wake up. Open your eyes. Wake up." I said. Her eyes stayed closed and the breathing stopped.

"No!" I yelled. "No!" I kept screaming not wanting what's happeneding to be true. The ambulances are finally here. I kissed her than they moved me. They started doing stuff and guys were trying to help me, but I stayed there watching them try to bring her back.

"Were not getting a response!" A women yelled. "Even if we get her back she won't make it to the hospital. Let's take her now! Try in the truck!" She yelled. Everyone picked her up and I started crying and crawling to her.

"Lucy! Lucy!" I yelled. The went over a small rock and the bed thing bumped up. Lucy's hand fell off and it was hanging there. I was crying my eyes out hitting the ground.

"No! No!" I screamed. A few people realized me and helped me.

I woke up about an hour ago from surgery. They need to stitch my leg and the side of my stomach. My leg and arm are in a cast now. I haven't seen anyone I know. I also can't think about really anything, but Lucy. I heard the door open and saw Lorine, Tod, Brianna, Chelsy, Piper, Zoe, Tonny, Logan and Lola came in my room. Lorine had tears in her eyes and she hugged me. I smiled a little.

"Are you okay?" Lorine asked. I nodded. I got a hug from Tod, Piper, Zoe, Tonny and Logan. Also Lola. Brianna and Chelsy jumped on the bed and attacked me with a hug. I looked at Lola.

"Is she okay?" I asked. She shook her head.

"I don't know." She said. I looked down as tears started falling out of my eyes.

"Tell me if she makes it." I said. I heard Lola let put a sob.

"Of course Austin." She said. Just than the door opened and the doctor came in.

"Hi. I knew you guys would be in here. Lucy's stable. She breathing fine. She'll make it. She's just not awake yet. That's might take a few days. Weeks. Months, but she alive and fine." He said. We all sighed in relief.

"As for you Austin your injuries weren't bad at all. We have to keep you over night still, but you can be let out tomorrow." The doctor said. I nodded. He left and Piper and Zoe hugged. Tonny and Logan patted me on the shoulder.

"Austin. There is 2 good things I have to tell you." Lorine said. I nodded. I'm not sure that anything could top the feeling I got when the doctor said Lucy was alright.

"Jason, Jim and Lucy's father are all in prison." She said. I smiled.

"Good." I said. They nodded.

"Also. I know you're 17, but me, Tod, Bri and Chels all agreed that we want you officially apart of this family. Were going to adopt you." Lorine said. I smiled at them and everyone cheered.

"Thank you." I said. I'm still hurting because of all that has happened. Than I'm happy because I'm getting adopted. The people who hurt Lucy are gone and Lucy is alive. Can't wait to see those brown eyes.
