The City of Empyrean [ON HIATUS]

Chapter 3: The Attack!

A broad daylight glowed on the clear sky forming a rainbow around it. Its pure sunlight reflects by the gentle currents of constructed rivers that the king have planned for.

A few days passed and crowds began to walk on the streets of Senace, Hamel. It wasn't crowded that much when it was under construction after rebuilding it in two months with ideas made by the king. By that time, people from other countries or kingdoms came for a visit or a tour to this reborn and new lively kingdom.

Food and item stalls are opened for buyers and travellers, blacksmiths forging different kinds of metal into weapons; just in case if there's war going on; children running down the streets while screaming happily as if they don't have a care in the world.

While everyone enjoys themselves, in the darkest of an alleyway, there Adam sat on a crate silently watching people passing by, not even noticing him like he was invisible to them.

Then a silent call came through his ear.

"They're here?" He whispered.

"Yes." Said in monotone. "But we lost them, though."

"What do you mean?"

"One of 'those people' of hers, just have ran off then they started chasing him, along with her.

We almost got her without those people noticing us but, soon got lost sight of her because of too much crowd around the port."

"I see, I guess I can't complain about that." He sighed in disappointment "After all, this place have changed since the war. I wonder how long were we in slumber?"

"Don't know, but nevermind about that. Should we go look for her, again?"

A disturbing voice came to his other ear until more voices followed, causing him to get irritated. He tried to ignore it, however, he listened instead.

"This is all your fault, Eldork!"

"Why is it my fault!?"

"Um... Guys, Rena's here you know?"

"I'm always here. Ugh, for El's sake."

He almost had enough with them until, two familiar voices barged in to the irritating chatters, making him caught off guard.

"Stop acting like kids, alright?"

"They're more than old couples instead of kids, Trooper."

"WHAT!?"

Adam turned to the outside of the alleyway. There he saw seven people. Some of them weren't familiar to him but, he recognized two among them.

He answered back to the speaker, "No need. Because the child along with the people are with her.

I'll spy on them for awhile, don't do anything if I say so."

The call ended as the man silently went out of the alleyway, following the group when he saw them walking away.

He looked to where they're going then his gaze went down to a cream-haired boy, walking beside a silver haired girl.

He loudly whispered,"Child of the Colossus"

Within the crowd going all around, he disappeared when Chung turned. He thought he heard something but, shrugged it off as he and the gang already reached to their destination.

"Ah! Prince Seiker!" A lion wearing a blue alchemist uniform approaches to the group when he saw Chung with them. "You've returned!"
