Malcolm's indecent proposition

It was all she could think about. She hated that she was even thinking about it. She folded the shirt she had in her hand neatly into her suitcase. Moving to tbe School's Residence had been fussy. Her mother stressed over everything and her father couldn't come to terms with the fact that he was leaving his little girl behind. Katleho smiled to herself. Her parents treated her like glass and many people thought she'd grow up to be a brat but her parents had taught her to be humble and she'd forever be grateful for that.

"Katli."
Kat looked up to find her mother standing at her bedroom door.

"Yes?"

Connie smiled, her mother was beautiful. One of the most beautiful women in Africa, on of the magazines had read. With her creamy light skin and gleaming smile. She was quite breath taking and Kat looked nothing like her.

"Someone is here to see you."

Liv appeared from behind her mother. "Thank you Mrs S"

"Okay girls. Katli please be quick because we need to be at Res in a couple of hours. Should I send Linda to Help you?"- her mother asked.

"No I will be fine."

Her mother smiled, "okay." She closed the door behind her

Kat had had a long time to deal with the fact that she wasn't as beautiful as her mother. The thing that made them even more different was their complexions. Her mother's light skin was the empitome of perfection. It really had no flaws. Her skin was also flawless but it was about 5 shades darker than her mother's thus no one appreciated her skin. She'd taken her father's dark complexion. But her parents never made her feel inferior.

"So loser!"- Liv said casually as she splayed herself across Kat's bed. "What did you wanna tell me?"

"I kissed Malcolm! "- she blurted out quickly. Liv had been sucking on a lollipop when she froze. Kat had to say it quickly because she was afraid she wouldn't say it at all.

"What?"- her friend's voice was strained.

Kat tried to say it again but couldn't. Liv stood up from Kat's bed and looked out the window. She expected her to shout but Liv was quiet and somehow that made it worse. The silence stretched out and finally Liv spoke, "He kissed you."

The statement surprised her.

"Kat you can't let this happen you."- she whispered.

Kat fumbled with some of her cloths. Avoiding her gaze.

"You remember how stupid I was with him?"

Yes, she remembered. Liv had fallen hard. She had made this one boy her life and everything that he did was right. Ever word that left his lips she clung to. She hadn't heeded anyone's words. Kat had tried to warn her but she'd brushed her off. When all else failed Kat had told Ethan. He had been ruthless in the way he'd dealt with the matter. His sister had hated him afterward but when Liv had come to her senses she'd thanked him and Kat.

"Of course I do. I was there remember? "

Liv walked up to her and sat them both on Kat's bed. She took Kat's hands in her own.

"I understand this game better than anyone."

"Liv it was nothing"- she told her friend. But she only looked at her in disbelief. As if she were naive.
"What happened in the locker rooms was nothing but this, this is something!"

She was right. The fact that he'd seen that she wanted him was prove that she was probably in way over her head.

"What did he say to you?"

"I followed him."- she confessed. She needed to take some of the blame. Maybe even all of it.

"Okay, what did he say to you?"- she asked again.

Kat hesitated and she stood from the bed turning away from her friend. "He offered me a night."- she whispered, almost ashamed of it. Almost...

"I knew it! He is bad news Kat!"- Liv voice was a bit harsh.

She knew Malcolm wasn't a good guy. Everyone knew that.

"I know!"

Liv walked up to her and made Kat look at her.

"He is pure sex on legs but he is as cold as ice. This thing you think you have with him is special only to you. He has had it with a million other girls."

Kat lifted her chin up in defiance, "I am not an idiot!"

She saw Liv's eyes flash with what seemed like sadness.

"I am sorry."- she hadn't meant her.

"No I was stupid. We have never really talked about what happened to me!"

"No..."

"He was addictive... he set me on fire."- she smile but it was empty.

"Liv..."

"I gave him everything: my heart, my virginity... Everything! But to him it was all just a game; a bet."

Kat remembered that phase. Liv had been in love, Kat was sure of that but her "Romeo" was an asshole.

"Malcolm is a player. He is a nice guy to everyone he isn't sleeping with. Girls think they can tame him; the thought of it excites them."

She wasn't trying to tame him that's for sure. She didn't care about that. She just wanted to know what it would be like to have his attention. Even if it was for one night. She ached for him.
"What are you thinking?"- Liv asked. Looking at her suspiciously.

" I could hit two birds with one stone."- she said. And when her friend didn't get it she elaborated, "I want to get rid of my virginity and I have always wondered what it would be like to have the attention of someone who's out of my league"- Kat told Liv.

Liv went pale.

"I have found the perfect man for the job Liv. Malcolm."

She had never been so sure of anything in her life. She wanted Malcolm and if he wanted her then why couldn't it happen...?

"Kat, this isn't a good idea. Okay, maybe he is a good candidate, physically. But that's it!"- Liv tried to reason.

"I am not looking for anything more than a night. So yes, physical is perfect."

Liv still didn't look convinced. She moved away from Kat and started packing random clothes into her suitcase.

"I am not going to fall for him, Liv."

She wasn't sure about that. Kat knew she was lying because the truth was that she could not be sure she would be immune to Malcolm.

"You can't be sure of that."

"I know. But I won't let him play me."-Kat said.

"It's only for a night."

Then she'd walk away. They'd pretend it never happened. She wanted this and she'd only heard rumours about Malcolm's skills in bed so for all she knows he might be terrible. That would make walking away that easy.

"Fine! But I want no part of this."- Liv told her. She stopped packing Kat's clothes.

"I just want you to support this decision."- Kat inched closer to her friend. "I won't be stupid."

Liv looked at her, "I hope so!"

"I get to have an orgasm! Why are we here sulking???"

Kat didn't know why she said that but she was kind of excited.

Liv Laughed, "I don't think an orgasm is probable during your first time. It's probably gonna hurt like hell."

"Really?? But the books..."-she trailed off her voice shaky.

"Oh... you thought it would be like in the books."

Kat nodded.

"You are in for a big surprise sweets! Let's go get those snacks."

Liv smiled at her. Now I'm scared, Kat thought to herself.
