School

I wasn't great at getting up in the mornings so I needed at least 4 alarms. Each 5 minutes apart leaving the last one the time I actually needed to be up.
As the 4th round of beeping started it finally sunk in that it was back to school.
I hadn't slept great after all that had happened with Noah.
I pulled my shirt over my head tied my tie under my collar. I tightened my skirt and threw my blazer over my shoulder.

Just like normal almost all of my family was up eating cereal at the breakfast table.
My little brother Joshua was sat at the table in his new uniform ready for his first day at school.
My mum was sat with him cleaning his face after he took each mouthful of cereal. She was determined he was going to go to school clean.
My older sister Rebecca had already left for collage.
My dad had made my lunch and slid it across the table to me. I picked it up and slid it into my school bag whilst mumbling a thank you.
I picked up one of Dad's pieces of toast and ran out of the house picking up my keys on the way. Just before I pulled the door shut I shouted good luck to Joshua.

I met Skye everyday at the bus stop that was opposite my house. She lived a few doors down from Noah, he walked her to the bus stop everyday.
I squinted to see them through all the people and cars, then crossed the road to meet them.

Noah and Skye had been together for almost a year now, thanks to me.
I introduced them to each other because I wanted to spend my 13th birthday with them both. Then they became friends and then started meeting each other without me there.

Me and Skye could talk all day and we probably would, she was in all my classes and we had a lot to talk about.
I hadn't seen Skye all holiday. That was because she was lucky enough to have been in Spain the whole holiday.

Our bus arrived and Noah hugged Skye.
"I'll see you after school." He whispered.
"Skye! Come on we will miss the bus." I didn't like it when Noah and Skye were all cuddly.
Noah kissed the top of her head and released his grip around her waist.

When we sat on the bus Skye started to moan.
"Isabella!" She dragged the 'a' on a bit too long. "I haven't seen him in ages. He was just hugging me goodbye...You didn't need to rush him..." I stopped listening at that point. I really didn't need to know how it felt to not see Noah all holiday.

When we got to first class I was determined to change the subject from Noah to anything but Noah. All I had to do was talk about her new dog and she would be off.
Skye had just been bought a Labrador puppy, for no reason what so ever. She hadn't even passed any exams and her birthday wasn't for 6 months.
I knew this would stop her talking about Noah, if she loved anything almost as much as him it was her new puppy.
It worked.
