She was breathing intently holding her stomach as she paced around in her room breathing hard. Her eyes scored the floor with her eyes trying to think clearly remembering the conversation.

"My dove...say something." His voice said in a gentle tone.

Her eyes watered and she looked up at him stunned, "You told me-"

"Clearly I was wrong..." He said his voice gruff with emotions.

She quickly got up fleeing from the table as he called after her but did not follow as she ran for her room, her chest tightening exhilarated, afraid, and shocked.

Lenore looked around the room frantically and sat at her vanity inspecting her features. She simply just glowed. It looked unnatural to her. She felt odd as her skin sparkled, and she whined softly.

Her face contorting in pain when she felt her stomach and let out a small cry. It felt as if she was splitting in two, getting up she fell to her knees and her wings fluttered out of instinct to keep her up.

Her eyes wandered as her sweat soaked face dripped, and she let out another cry as her body fell, her wings giving out. She curled up into a ball panting as the door swung open and Druvic came pulling her into his arms.

"Lenore..." He cleared his throat wiping the sweat off her forehead as she shivered, and he laid her out on the bed.

"W-why..." She gasped pressing a hand against her stomach. Her body was changing; she could feel it. It felt foreign, unwelcomed. She gasped and gripped onto the sheets. Red droplets fell from her eyes and she heard Druvic shout out.

She let out a soft groan and her eyes fluttered closed.

Lenore....Lenore....Lenore.

The voice ticked in a tone calling out her name.

Her eyes opened and she blinked at the bright candle above her. She covered her eyes squinting at it and stepped forward.

"Hello?" She said in hope of an answer, but instead a typhoid of sound consumed her. She tried to stop it but was unable to. She began to twitch and squirm. Her body spasming and her breathing increased unable to compensate with the voices. The breath light shining on her slowly dimmed until it was an ominous shadow.

Chanting, she heard though unable to decipher as the voices grew louder, and she opened her mouth to scream but no sound came, just gasps, and suddenly everything turned silent. She was left in a dark void. Her eyes watered and she gulped.

"...dove?" She heard a soft but masculine voice waking her. Lenore pried her eyes open with heavy lids blinking. She moved up and let out a small protest as pain sprung down her spine.

"Shh...stop rest...your adjusting..." He said softly, a tint of panic, as he wiped her forehead.

"The child, survived...." She heard a voice say and cleared her throat unable to move in fear of pain.

"Yes, Lilith..." He said softly and a woman appeared next to him, almost ghost like. Her skin a plain white which matched her eyes and her attire as well dawned white.

"Lilith.." She said her eyes falling on the woman. Everything hurt, her hair fell in front of her face as she watched Lilith take a piece of her hair. Her eyes fluttering.

"She does not look well." The woman announce brushing the strands of hairs from her face. "She is weak, yet strong enough to endure that pain." She then placed a hand over her forehead and chanted a foreign language her arm beginning to show an ink scripture glowing as she chanted.

Lenore felt her pain slowly dissipate, and she gasped of relief staring up at Lilith who did not seem to bat an eye. She looked at Druvic and inhaled. "How is this possible?"

"Are you unhappy?" He asked staring at her with cold eyes.

"I-I..." Lenore stuttered falling silent pursing her lips. "It should not be possible..."

"But it is." He stated bluntly watching her.

She fell silent and stared at the wall, not sure how to respond. Her eyes fluttered and she placed a hand on her stomach.

I'll never be rid of him now.  She thought solemnly.

As weeks passed he become more gentle fretting over her every movement. Lenore was not use to the treatment but enjoyed it regardless.

She sat at the dinner table moving her food around with her fork not hungry.

"Lenore, you have to eat. You're carrying for two." He said softly and went to sit next to her lifting a fork bringing the food towards her mouth.

She opened her mouth and fell silent chewing on her food. Her eyes staring at her plate of food. A small retching sound came from her mouth and she ran from the dining room covering her mouth. As soon as she reached the bathroom she threw up the remnants of her dinner.

She felt fingers brush her hair and hold it for her. She continued to throw up, her palms laying on the floor as she vomited.

"Druvic...." She said panting and looked up meeting his eyes. Her face a pale color.

"Lenore come lay down. This is normal..." He said in a gentle voice and picked her up like a dainty flower placing her on the bed. Her wings stretched out on the bed and she sighed. She yawned looking up at him and closed her eyes slowly falling asleep.

When she woke up a pair of red eyes were staring at her.

"Adronna."

"Hello little one." She said walking towards her and caressed her cheek.  Lenore flinched back and stared at her intently.

"What do you want?" She said with a bitter voice causing the sorceress to blink in surprise but her look was replaced with a smirk quickly.

"I've come to see how the glowing mother is. Is Druvic around?" She asked leaning towards her. Her amulet around her neck glowing with a thrumming sound.

"No. Why?" She asked softly and her body stiffened when Adronna placed a palm on her stomach. She felt a warming sensation and gasp as her eyes widened. She let out a small cry in surprise as her stomach began to grow inside but before she could finish a hand had pulled her away quickly flinging her into the wall.

"My lord."

"I told you to wait!" He said anger in his voice as he approached the witch.

"There is no time. If we wait it will take too long for-"

"Silence! Leave us immediately."

With that last command Adronna got up and muttered a curse then left before winking at Lenore.

Her stomach was now somewhat jutting outward as if she was bloated. Her eyes widened and she placed her hands on her stomach.

"It grew." She said in shock and Druvic sighed staring at her.

"Yes, Adronna used her life magic on the babe."

Lenore widened her eyes and she went to get up but was pushed back down on the bed.

"Sleep." He said softly caressing her cheek and she slowly fell asleep.

"You must awaken." A voice called out. She was in utter darkness looking around searching for light.
