Sorry for the delay guys, I was out of state for some work and when you completed the previous target i wrote the chapter but it wasn't emotionally accurate and wasn't going on with flow, so i deleted it.

But as an apology this chapter has 5k plus words

Late is better than worthless.

Shanaya curled down on the cold marble floor, leaning against the bed her body folding into itself as she sobbed quietly.

The walls around her blurred. She was trembling, her nails digging into her own arms, trying to keep herself from falling apart

Her mind echoed with gun shots and screams

Yeah That's the truth that she hated Samay.

she remembered wanting him to die when he dared to blackmail her using those dirty tricks.

But just a few broken pleas from his mother had undone all that fire. She had crumbled. Forgiven.

She still remembers his mother's words, how he's the only son she has, the tears were not for him but for his mother and for her

maybe that's her weakness.

She felt the pain of others way too much, that even hers seems less.

All it took were a few desperate tears.

Even though there was no guarantee he wouldn't do it again.

But Ekaksh... Ekaksh didn't ask. He didn't give warnings.

He shot. Without a flinch. As if life meant nothing to him .

She wasn't crying for the man, but she was crying on her fate, because of the man she's married to is dangerous, so dangerous.

Her heart pounded. Throat dried. She hugged her knees tighter, sinking deeper into the terror clawing at her insides.

How can a man be so... heartless? So terrifyingly calm after committing something so brutal?

Not because of the blood on his hands, but because she knew, he would do it again. For her.

And the bigger fear?

What if he hurt someone who tried to help her escape? What if... someday... he hurt her?

'No. He won't. He never has.'

But then again-what guarantee did she have?

But still he never hurt her like that?

Her breath hitched as she noticed a pair of black leather shoes before her. She didn't look up. She didn't want to see those eyes.

Didn't want to feel his presence invading her space again, that overwhelming aura of his.

A hand extended toward her.
