When Minho's father married Jisung's mother, they immediately all became one.
Everyone said they looked perfect, two parents in love and two teenage boys learning how to tolerate each other under the same roof. Respectful nods exchanged, subtle glances during dinner, polite distance between bedrooms.
Everything was peaceful, going at the steady pace of the family warming up to each other. But then the accident happened and everything came crashing down, similar to how their parents passed away. Urgent calls, heavy sobs, gloominess enveloping the house. Sets of four eventually all came down to two. Two sets of cutlery, two plates and two people sat at the table with the food infront of them, even though they knew they lost their appetite well before they even started eating.
The first days went slowly... They repeated the same routines. They barely exchanged any glances, let alone words.
Months passed and they finally came to learn to live with the new life style, they once again were suddenly forced in to. Minho being of legal age and older than Jisung, decided to come to a mutual agreement of legally cancelling the paperwork that linked the two together by name. However, Minho never let go.
He overtook his father's business, that he had thankfully been taught into growing up. He quickly earned respect from many of the workers, his actions and attitude clearly reflecting his father's. Same strictness and professionality. Same sense of independence and confidence to take over something so big, at such a young age.
He didn't give up on the only thing that reminded him of his father, he didn't give up because of the sudden tragic death and he surely also didn't give up on Jisung. Minho signed the house under his name and was old enough to keep Jisung under his roof with no questions.
During all these months they got closer in subtle ways. Small glances of sympathy to each other. Mutual glints of comfort in each others gazes to one another. Jisung cooking meals for Minho after he had a long day at work, pretending he didn't stay up late waiting for the elder. Minho, in exchange, cooking him breakfast before he left for work.
But as more months passed, the memory of them being related by papers, in the past, slowly dissipated. The glances and rare and cautious embraces were now edged with a want and need. One that neither was ready to admit just yet.
All until one night.
Minho was up late once again, papers scattered all around him on the dining table, the dim lighting making it hard to focus but any brighter would give him a headache. His eyes were stuck on the papers, immersed in processing all the lines and words while his exhausted and burnt out brain begged for him to just stop.
Small and soft footsteps were the thing that made him look up.
And there stood a pouty Jisung. His hair and clothes were dishevelled, like he'd spent hours tossing and turning in bed, trying — and failing — to fall asleep. His disoriented eyes and fidgeting were the things that gave it away to Minho that he was overthinking once again.
He knew the younger better than he ever let on. He noticed all the little details, the smallest actions and what they meant. He noticed how Jisung's face warmed up when they glanced at each other longer than a friendly or brotherly gaze. He noticed his cute features scrunch up when he was busy concentrated on writing his lyrics, aiming to be successful in his long beloved passion, one that Minho had always encouraged. But what unsettled Minho was how he, himself, reacted when he was looking dearly into Jisung's eyes for too long, when they were too close for Minho to breathe normally and his heart to beat at a normal pace.

FanfictionA mix of mostly smut, fluff and angst. Minsung cuz they're one strong duo. Genre/s will be stated in the title! T/Ws: at the start of the stories. They are quite detailed stories that i can't bother writing a whole book about. Putting my many ideas...
