Coreys pov:
Me ane Lanes were at the front doors of the pound.When we entered all I heard was yaping and barking."Um excuse me?" Laney asked the guy at the front desk. He ignored us."Um excuse me." She asked again. Ignored. I was getting ticked at this guy. Then I remembered I packed something "useful" in Lanes backpack." Can I see your backpack Lanes. I asked. "Sure." She said and handed it to me. I went through her stuff and found what I needed.
A bullhorn.
"Cover your ears." I told her and she did. Even though Lanes is with me,I can still be the bad boy if I wanted to. I blew the horn so loud that the dogs barked louder and I made the guy fall out of his chair." Core I know you are a bad boy but that was completely unnecessary." She said crossing her arm,even Max gave me a weird look,and he's a dog." I know." I replied.
"WHAT WAS THAT FOR!!" The guy yelled wich sent my beanie flying." Thats kinda what you get for ignoring my friend here." I said." But why a bullhorn?" He asked." You never know." I replied with an evil a smirk. All I got was silence from the guy and a giggle from Lanes witch caused me to blush a little." We're here for a golden retriever puppy,do ya have any." I asked while putting my beanie back on."Yeah we have 4,follow me." He said.
He led us through a hallway full of dog cages.Some barked while some tried to jump over the fence.Laney grabs my arm and cluches it. I couldnt blame her,these dogs did look ready to attack. We turned a corner and saw lots of cute puppys. Yes i said cute,deal with it." Here we are the retrivers." He said. We kept looking because the 2 were abults and one looked pretty small.Then we found one that looked exactly like Max." Aww" Lanes said with sparkles in her eyes and pet the dog."We'll take him." She said.
We got home with the puppy in my hands."How long till they arrive." She asked me. Then there was a knock on the door."Now." I said." Take Max upstairs and stay with him until they leave." I nodded and headed upstairs and waited.
Laneys pov:
I opened the door and Britney(her name) came in." Wheres my dog." She asked." In that cage." I said pointing to it."Aww I'm sorry you had to stay with this disgusting girl here,Winston." She said glaring at me while putting her finger in the cage. Then I heard a deep growl,but it wasn't Max,It was Corey. I looked at him and shook my head and he went back upstairs.
"Well thanks for like returning my dog and stuff and goodbye." Was all she said and left.I wait till the footsteps were gone."She's gone." I said and Corey handed me Max."We get to keep you Max." I said and he licked my face." And thanks for your plan Core." I said." It was nothing." He said trying to act cool."Max say thank you." I said and he licked Cores face.All he did was smile." Movie?" I asked. "Sure." He replied. And we spent the rest of the day watching movies and petting Max. Our new friend.
