Demigods + Wizard Tournament = One Amazing Story!

Chapter 8: Will

There are only two more days until the first task, so us demigods are planning on meeting in The Room of Requirement. (Nico found it last week somehow.) I'm second to arrive on the scene. Nico was sitting in the dark waiting for us. "Nico? How about we turn on the lights?" As I say that I bright the room with my weak light abilities I inherited from my father, Apollo. 

"Hey Sunshine." 

"Everything okay Death Boy?" 

"Uh yeah sure."

"So you're not okay. What's up?"

"I'm inwardly freaking out about the first task. Professor Slughorn's clue on the task said that it's going to take wisdom and intelligence to win the challenge. And I'm not Annabeth bad, but I do like to know what I'm getting my self into, yea know?" 

"Yes. I understand, and everything's going to turn out fine." Nico nervously smiles, and Will tries out a comforting smile. Then they both lean in for a kiss on the couch. 

As the kiss deepens the doors open for Percy and Annabeth. "Are we interrupting? Because last I checked this was a group meeting, not a Solangelo hook up." His girlfriend elbows him in the side, but keeps a smile on her face. The couple separate their faces. Percy and Annabeth take the seats in front of them.  

"So the task? Are you guys nervous?"

"Of course not!" They all reply, which they all found odd. 

"So what took you two so long to get here?" Will asked.

"Well I couldn't get away from The Golden Trio and their nosy questions. Since Hermione couldn't keep her mouth shut, she told her two best friends about my crush on 'Professor Jackson', so I haven't been able to get away from them. They think Percy is some kind of pervert."

The two boys start bursting out laughing. "Im... I'm sorry... Percy?"

Percy just nods, irritated by the thought. "I'm sorry, but frankly I just want to kiss my girlfriend!" 

"How about you kiss her now that we're here?" Annabeth prompts, and leans in for the two to kiss. 

"Echem. We're here remember?" Nico interrupts, as they did to us. 

"Right. Sorry." The couple apologizes. 

"The tournament... Any questions about that?" Percy asks the clueless group. 

"Uh YEAH!" Nico and I shout. 

"Like what? It sounds quite simple to me." Annabeth frowns. 

"What do you mean simple?" Nico asks unbelieving.

"'It'll take wisdom and intelligence to overcome the first task.'" Annabeth restates the clue, "It's going to be a test of knowledge..." She says slowly. At first we don't get it, but once we do, a bunch of 'ohs' echo in the room. 

Annabeth is going to do great at this challenge! May the gods be in our favor.

A/N: 457 Words for this chapter yay! I know its shorter in comparison, but if it wasn't obvious, it was a filler chapter. It will get better as it progresses.
