The past is what makes us who we are, it defines us as a person and no matter how much we try to hide it or run from it, it will always catch up to us and outrun us.
We did what we had to do to hide our past. The only way out was by killing who we were and burying deep inside our souls. Never to speak of it again, as if none of us were ever born. But, maybe that was our mistake.
