I was horrified at the sight which was before for me and before i knew it i slammed closed the door and ran out of the house a quick as i could completely forgetting my initial objective. The only thing on my mind at them moment was to run, run harder than i had ever run before and just escape the horror of which was that decaying corpse. After awhile i slowed down to a jog and then to a walk. I was starting to feel a bit sick then without waring i through up onto the ground next to me. Feeling worse than ever before i soldered on feeling rather hungry. As i walked further into suburbia i grew paranoid and started to fear what might be lurking in the shadows. I thought i heard noises and kept looking over my shoulder for any impending danger. After walking for half an hour i reached a part of the town which was completely crowded with cars and i mean every space there was hardly space to walk between them. As i laboured i thought no i definitely heard gunshots. Worried i thought  i had to get to open ground as soon as i could and started running in fear of being caught in a bad situation. As i reached open ground i heard more gunshots then silence and then a high piercing scream then silence again. I walked cautiously forward when in front of me one of the beasts jumped down in front of me i turned to run and saw another one behind me, I looked to my right again another one, then to my left yet again more of them. I was surrounded i thought this was the end but i remembered what my father had once said to to me. "The faithful always prevail". Then BANG!!!!!! One of the monsters fell with a crash. Then several more gunshots fired from i think somewhere above me soon after more volleys of shots the last beast fell dead to the ground shot strait through the head. I was dumbfounded by what i had just saw and was struggling to comprehend what had actually happened i knew i was safe but how and why was very much a mystery to me. I was very scared at this point and all i could make myself do was stand there with a dumb look on my face. I zoned out started to recall the event which had happened in the past hour i heard a voice but it was quiet then a hand on my back i jerked startled and got up and looked at a man about five foot 11 inches , he was in full Kevlar body armour complete with gas mask and helmet he was cradling a .50 cal rifle. Presumably he was my savior and boy was i happy i was no longer alone well at least for a bit. The masked man lead me away we didn't talk he didn't even ask who i was or where i was going. He just walked and i followed. After what seemed like eternity we reached what looked like a military compound. When we got through the guarded front gate i was amazed at what i saw it was a fully operational army base finally the masked man took of his gas mask and said. " Looks like it your lucky day kid"
