I woke up all sweaty. I got up yawned for a good ten seconds. I then walked up to the one lone window of my rather cramped living quarters. As I stared out into the dark sky I was rather amazed at how many stars there were I hadn't really looked at the night sky for awhile and was truly amazed at the beuty that my eyes were seeing it was unreal it felt like home, the feeling of home didn't last for long when a rather tall man burst through the door stumbling a bit it looked like he was drunk. I took this as a good time to leave the room and explore. The camp was a lot less lively at night probably many were going to sleep to rest up for tomorrow. I walked deeper and deeper into the camp and it seemed that life was almost devoid there seemed to be alot of empty tents, maybe they were on a mission or something. I kept walking around for about 10 minuets still having no human contact except for the drunk man who abruptly barged into my room. I found a hill and decided it was a good chance to sit down and think, ponder, imagine, wish and hope. I thought for some time I dreamt for even longer. As I sat I thought I heard som rustling the sound a person would make if they were sitting down and kept quiet because I had a feeling I wasn't supposed to be here. In the dark it was hard to make out who the mysterious silhouette was but they were roughly 10 meters away from me and staring blanky into the night sky. I thought I heard them weeping and crying but I thought I must be mistaken but again another sound more like crying and now I was sure that whoever it was was definitely crying, I sat thinking if I should go and talk to the figure creep away or stay and try to remain quiet. The crying gradually got louder I thought I must go and investigate what was wrong. I walked trying to be silent, I got within four paces of the silhouette it suddenly jumped up and pounced on my before I could react the was a sizeable knife under my throat I gulped loudly. A tear from the eye of the figure dropped on to my forehead I was pinned to the ground struggling to move let alone breath. My eyes struggled to see who it was the figure revealed that by pulling out a torch a shining in my face. The light hurt my eyes but at least I could no see it was that servant girl who had pushed past me earlier. She rolled off me and screamed “What the hell do you think you are doing out here!”
Scared and sounding rather feeble I said. “I could ask you the same thing Miss,”
“ Miss who do you think you are calling me Miss huh what does this look a formal dress party,I do have a name.”
“Which is?”I Enquired .
“For you information my name is Latika.”
“Well Latika I'm I what a pleasure to meet you” I mocked.
“Oh haha I very funny so why are you out here anyway.” Latika asked calmly.
“Well I don't really know where here is” I was cut off abruptly by Latika saying
“Isn't that the beauty of it I we're nowhere somewhere anywhere we are free from the horrible camp and world infested by evil things that's why I to come here.”
“And cry I asked.” Half Heartedly. From the look on Latika's face he knew he had gone too far and the tears were in her eyes once again. He got closer to her and could hear her heavy breathing and tried as best he could to comfort her without making her feel strange. He was right next to her and so he put his arm around her and told her not worry even though I had no idea why she was weeping. But he was still trying to help her. Latika cried and cried muttering things which we incomprehensible to me. I stayed there close to Latika keeping each other warm with our body heats. Eventually it looked as though Latika had stopped crying and starting to cheer up I felt a wave of triumph at this. Latika sat upright and stared at me and then into space we stayed like that for a few minutes. Latkia than said to me “ Ham why did you come to the army camp?”
I thought for only a moment and said “If Ghost hadn't been around to save my life, well I wouldn't even be here Ghost took me to the camp I had to stick with him it was the safest option for me”
“But,But you were freelancing no responsibilities you own boss no stupid dad to tell you what to do.” Latika Exclaimed.
“Wait did you say dad, who is you dad?” I Questioned.
“It doesn't matter forget I said it I didn't mean to okay! ” Latika Claimed.
“ Okay whatever you say Latika I'm sure your telling the truth.” In a sarcastic tone.
“ Ugh Ham that's really not cool “ Latika said jokingly.
“ hah it really is quite funny.” I said
Latika started to tickle me and I tried to say stop but it just came out as mumbled cries and yelps she was hitting all the spots which were sensitive. I wanted her to stop but at the same time I was laughing and having fun. Latika just wouldn't stop and it seemed like for ever when she finally did. Then we both lay there gazing up at the stars. Just relaxing. It was a moment of tranquil peace. We were just enjoying each others company. The night was getting late. But the peace of the night was not disturbed. And that was just the way I wanted it to be, peaceful and calming. With Latika lying in my arms I felt that this was as good as it gets. The tranquil feeling was eerie but calming. We finally grew restless and I decided maybe I should go and get back to sleep for the night. Latika noticed got up turned then looked at me and said “Ham wait come back.” I Turned my body and walked back over to her feeling a strange feeling inside something that I had not felt in a while. I couldn't describe but it would have to be in between hyper nervousness and attraction. When I reached Latika she tip toed up so she could reach my face and whispered in my ear “ Thanks for everything Ham” then she kissed me on the cheek and smiled at my sweetly. She starter to walk away in a different direction probably to her special quarters. I decided it was time to go to. As I walked back I looked up at the sky and thought what a star filled night.
