Temptations - A Beau Brooks Love Story

Chapter 1

I tapped the side of my hot chocolate with my nails impatiently. I was getting paranoid. What if he doesnt come? ‘He will come, relax.’ I whispered to myself.  Finally! I smiled as Beau entered Star bucks, typical for him to keep me waiting I had been here for 15 minutes.

“Finally.” I sighed and gave him a hug as he came to my table.

“Sorry, had a bit of a situation with Jai and Luke.” He laughed whilst pushing his hair out of his eyes. He didn’t need to explain, I knew what those boys were like.

“It’s ok, I got you your favourite.” I said and slid his drink across the table top. He caught it and inspected it. “It’s probably cold by now.” I said and shrugged.

“Hot chocolate, with marshmallows and whipped cream, good job, thanks!” He said and winked. I blushed and stared down at my own hot chocolate. It’s obvious to everyone I fancy Beau. Who doesn’t? He is gorgeous, funny, and just plain perfect. Too bad he likes my best friend, or at least she likes him which means I am not allowed near him.

“So how have you been?” He asked me with care in his eyes.

“Not too bad, just been hanging out with Maddy really... how are you two going by the way?” I tried to ask as casually as possible, but I went red at even mentioning them together.

Beau shrugged, “Alright I guess.” He said quickly before changing the subject. “How have you and Josh been?” Josh is this creepy boy from my work, everyone is scared of him, but he has this obsession with me, Beau always remembers to tease me about this.

“Ugh, shh.” I teased and flicked one of my marshmallows at him from my hot chocolate.

“That was hot!” He moaned whilst trying to cover his smile, he pretended to sulk.

“Man up!” I said and winked.

Beau didn’t respond, he just looked at me and smiled. I took a sip of my hot chocolate awkwardly. I could feel him still staring at me with his mesmerising green eyes. It wouldn’t be anything more than a friendly stare, me and him will forever be in the friend zone.

“Promise if you ever date Maddy we will still be best friends?” I asked Beau out of the blue.

He looked at me in surprise. “Of course we will! Best friends forever!” He said in a camp voice, he held my hands from across the table. “Forever and ever.” He added. “Anyway who said, i’m going to date Maddy?” He asked and bit his lip. I wish he wouldn’t do that, he is incredibly hot as it is!

I shrugged, “I just assumed-”

“I think I’m keeping an open mind for relationships right now...” He said and smiled at me. I nodded, I was glad he said that, maybe one day, his mind would be open enough for me... I know I was friend zoned, so was he, we had discussed this before.
