Chapter 18

Jade's p.o.v

I woke up the next morning feeling slightly better. I should be excited I was so lucky to be going on a 'date' with Calum. It was weird to think that I knew two famous boy groups, it was almost unrealistic. I had a quick shower, once out I dried my hair and left it to dry naturally whilst I put on some natural looking make up on, and changed into some casual yet nice clothes. When my hair was dried I curled it into loose ringlets. I had just about finished my hair when my phone buzzed. I looked at my phone and saw a message from Beau. 

Beau: 'We clearly need to talk things through... I want to go back to the way things were x'

Me: 'Me too x'

Beau: 'Meet me later?x'

Me: 'Cant, I'm meeting Calum.. sorry maybe another day x'

Beau: 'k'

Shit, he's pissed off now, he doesn't have any right to be. He has a girlfriend, I am allowed to go on dates, I dont need his permission.

6 pm:

I stood in front of Calum's house, I hadn't yet knocked on the door, truth be told I was nervous, really nervous. I raised my hand on the door when I had a sudden flash of guilt.

Beau's words from the other day rung through my mind.

**"The reason I was rude to you, is because.." He took in a deep breath. "I like you ok? I said it.. You were the one I was calling to ask out, it has always been you, since we have known each other, all the girls I have dated have meant nothing, it's always been you Jade..."**

My eyes became glassy when I remembered his words. I breathed out, he was lying, when Beau said those things he didnt mean them, if he did, he wouldn't be going out with Maddy, he wouldn't have kissed me and then ignored me, he wouldn't have taken her on that date. Even if that was true, I still felt guilty, I was about to turn and head home when Calum opened the door.

His smile grew as he saw me. "You look gorgeous." He said and brought me in for a hug. I hugged him back, although we had only met once, he was one of those really friendly non awkward people, so I felt quite comfortable around him.

He took me inside and introduced me to some boys in the living room.

"Jade meet Luke, Ashton and Mikey."

I smiled shyly and waved at the 3 happy looking boys in front of me. It reminded me of the time when Beau had first introduced me to the boys. I felt as if I was almost betraying them by being here. They would always be my number one boys.. but I guess I'm allowed other friends?...

The 3 boys were extremely friendly, they all approached me and gave me a hug and had a quick polite conversation with me. They then sat back down and continued shouting at the footie on the TV. Calum then led me to a dining room where food was already laid out. I smiled as I realized all the effort he had gone too, it was really cute. It reminded me of the other day when Beau brought me a picnic to the beach.. I have got to get Beau out of my head and just enjoy myself.

"I didn't think you would come." Calum said honestly once we had begun eating.

"Seriously, why?" 

"Well Beau..-"

I almost choked on my food when he said his name, it just felt weird when anyone else mentioned him. 

"Oh, no don't worry, there is nothing between me and him any more, no feelings, nothing." I lied. Every word was a lie.

"Same to me and Mia." Calum smiled.

"Thanks for going to all of this effort its super cute." I said once finished with my food.

"No problem, you're worth it." He said the last bit shyly.

I smiled at Calum, he was genuinely the nicest boy I had ever met, he was sweet, funny, good looking, just perfect. But he isn't Beau.

"Thanks for such a cute night." I said and bit my lip whilst looking shyly at the ground. We were on my front door step, Calum had walked me home.

"You're welcome, we should do it again sometime." He smiled.

I nodded. "We should."

This was the bit I was dreading, would he kiss me? Or was it too soon.

"As much as I want to kiss you right now, I know you are still getting over Beau, so maybe next time?" Calum said, he looked kind of sad, but hopeful, I felt quite relieved but in a way I didnt, Calum is the first guy I have ever met who 100% would never mess me around and now I am still trying to get the boy who already has messed me around so much?! I must be deranged.

I placed a kiss on Calum's cheek, as I felt a bit mean not to and then I went into my house. I went into bed, fully clothed and fell straight asleep, tired from everything that had happened.
