I can't believe I still have to face Kian. I had spent all weekend at Elisa's after the whole 'her realizing I had feelings for Kian (A.K.A my mortal enemy whom I must destroy) before I knew. And I was so worried I tried to avoid him at all costs.

During chemistry Kian always sits in the front but today he was sitting right beside the seat I ALWAYS sit in. So, I sat in HIS usual seat. At lunch time, I went out instead of sitting at the Caf with Elisa, Kian, and all of our little group whom I could care less what their names were. In the halls, I would keep my head down and blare my music into my skull headphones. It was after school, when he finally got me.

After school Elisa and I usually just walk to the juice bar. But today I had quite a bit of homework I wanted to catch up on, so we decided to meet a half hour later. As I was walking I felt pretty good with myself for being so good at avoiding people. I walked into the juice bar to sit in our usual seat next to the door to see Kian, sitting across from Elisa. As I turned to walk back out the door someone grabbed my wrist to stop me. No, not someone, cmon we all know who it was.

"Lucy, wait!" I stopped. He lightly turned me to face him. He placed his fingers under my chin to lift my head up and look at him. His eyes. His beautiful eyes. But they weren't filled with the happiness and hope that usually took over. They were filled with sadness and... Worry?
"Why are you avoiding me?" I turn to look away but he doesn't let me, instead I just look down.

"I-im not I just uh, feel a little sick" Psshhhhh even Kenny could figure out I was lying and I mean jeez that guy is as smart as a door knob.

"Lucy, I can tell when you're lying to me." His voice rose a little and caught me off guard. Why? Why him? Of all people. Why couldn't I just fall for like I dunno. Nobody. Because love is gross, at least it used to be.
Kian grabbed my hand gently and entangled his fingers with mine, it send chills up my spine. He pulled me outside and we walked to the park across the street and sat at the most secluded picnic table. I realized we left Elisa there but honestly I didn't care.
"So..." I started off, unsure of why he brought me to this place, out in the open. Luckily, the sunlight was blocked by trees.
"So why are you avoiding me?" I jumped slightly at how quickly he answered. I looked down and realized that our fingers were still entangled in each others. He glanced down quickly at our hands, but to my surprise, he didn't let go. So I just stared into his eyes, once again. And muttered under my breath.
"I dunno" I said tilting my head to look down at the pencil graffiti on the tabletop.
"Well stop. Because I-" he paused. I left it at that for now, he didn't seem to want to push the subject.

We went and walked through a trail for a while, this is when everything felt like a fairy tale. I was getting cold so he did the whole 'imma drape my jacket over your shoulders and put my one arm around you' and then he said I looked beautiful. Not like ugh, Jeremy did. But like he actually meant it. After he walked me back until we got to my dorm and then, I pushed the earlier subject.
"Kian?"
"Yeah?" I paused for a second before answering.
"Earlier, you said that you didn't want me to avoid you because you...?" He stopped. It felt like he stopped for years even though it was merely a matter of seconds and then, he kissed me.
