Chapter Seven__neveS retpahC

Sorry guys, I know it's been a while. I lost this chapter and couldn't figure out what the hell I wrote initially. Looking back, I kinda have it figured out so enjoy!!

Gajeel POV

They look at us in disbelief, wondering what actually went on. Lily tackles Levy and all I see is a mess of blue, orange, and black. God it's great to be back.

Well, it was. The ground begins to rumble and everyone turns toward the noise.

"Run," I hear Levy whisper. "Run."

I don't know what is out there but I'm going to find it. I'm out the door before anyone else can fathom what's going on, but as soon as I'm out, the rest of the group follow me. Levy, in all of her smallness, is right behind me, keeping up with my pace.

Her deepest, darkest fear has come through.

Levy POV
The ground begins to rumble and I know exactly what is here.
"Run," I whisper. "Run."
I watch as Gajeel runs out of the small house, I follow closely behind him. He can't face this without me. This is my deepest, darkest fear come to life in the real life. We run through the trees and I hear footsteps behind me. I don't need to look back to see that the group in Porlusica's house follows some distance behind us.

We make it to the hill, overlooking magnolia and find the same dark dragon that we fought in my head. I can see many people fighting it, many are my guild mates. Many others are fleeing. What have I done?

"I thought we'd already defeated that thing, Levy?" Gajeel looks down at me.

I watch the dark dragon, it personifies my darkest fear, the part of me that is still scared of Gajeel's darks side, who he was before he came to Fairy Tail.

"Let's destroy it again," he says.

"It's easier said than done, Gajeel," I start to cry as I watch the scene unfolding before me. "Do you not realize what the dragon represents? The one thing I've never told you because I didn't want to it to effect our relationship?"

I can feel eyes on us, each pair taking in the scene before us and trying to figure out what is going on. I can even feel Natsu's heat as he brings his flames out with his anger. There is only one thing I can do, I don't think I can do it.

"There is no way that is me," Gajeel kneels down to my level. "Do you really fear me?"

"It's not the fear of who you are now," I begin to sob. "It's your dark side and who you used to be. I fear you becoming dark again."

"Then accept me, Levy," he grabs my face and turns it towards him so can look into his resilient red eyes. "Accept every side of me and promise to marry me. That is the only solution I can think of."

I fall to the ground, what more can I do? I'm scared and clinging to what little hope I have, but if I don't accept it I'll lose him.

I look back to the dark dragon, "I accept you Gajeel Redfox.  I accept every part of you, no matter how dark or harmful. I accept you."

Silence. Even in Magnolia. I find the dark dragon staring at the hill, at me, into my soul.

"I accept your hand in marriage, Gajeel Redfox."

With that, the dark dragon howls in pain and bursts into back and blue flames. The flames only cover the dragon, not daring to touch any of Magnolia. It is a fearful sight.

"Do you really mean it?" Gajeel asks as we watch the last of the dragon disappears.

"Yes," I look at him.

He picks me up into a giant hug and kisses me deep.

A Couple Months Later.

"Do you Levy McGarden taken Gajeel Redfox as your husband?"

"I do," I blush.

"And do you Gajeel Redfox take Levy McGarden as your wife?"

"Hell yeah, he does!" Natsu's yells from the crowd followed by an cry of pain.

I shake my head as Gajeel turns and yells back, "Back off flame brain, she's mine." He turns back to meet my hazel eyes "I do."

"I now pronounce you-"

And that's the last I hear as he picks me up and kisses me, hard but soft, full of meaning. The crowd roars in agreement of the union.

I will no longer have to fear anything for the rest of my life as I am finally whole.

I know the ending is short, well the entire thing is short but I love it. I have this crazy idea that Gajeel is a man of words, but only around Levy and Lily. Hope you liked it, though I took forever to get it out there. Again, thank you for commenting, voting, and liking it.
