Alivia's POV

Today was my first day at Blackwell Academy. I'm so exited. I love photography and art, so this school must be perfect for me. I've heard great things about this school.

I pull into the parking lot with my car and get out my (few) bags. I turn around and take in the beauty of this school.

This seems like such a nice school compared to my last one, yes I switched colleges, but only because the last one was so stuck up and snobby.

I start to walk into Blackwell and I see many students that would qualify under the category of 'Artistic'. There's Skaters, the 'cool group' sitting under a tree, and even a girl flying a drone! Now I know this is the school for me.

I walk up the steps and through the front doors. The only problem is... I don't know where to go at all.

Thank god I find a janitor and walk up to him.

"Er, hello," I look at his name tag "Samuel. Uh I'm new here, could you please direct me to the office?"

"Why of corse, new pupil, you've actually just passed it." He points to a door right next to the front doors.

"Oh, thank you." I say thank you, smile, and turn around to the office.

I push open the door and see a lady at the front desk.

"Excuse me, I'm new here, I was wondering where I could check in?" I ask.

"Ah yes," she looks through papers. "Alivia, I presume?"

"That's me!" I say trying to be peppy.

"Well unfortunately the principle is out handling a security issue, so he won't be able to give you the tour. But I can get one of our top students to give you one!" She said typing on her computer.

"That sounds good."

"Okay," she looks through one of her drawers and pulls out a key. "Here's your dorm key, number 112. The student giving you the tour can show you the dorms. Why don't you wait over there for the student tour." She pointed to a chair with her pen.

"Okay thank you." I said sitting down.

About an hour later a very, very, angry student walks through the door. He had short Auburn hair, and he was wearing a red 'Blackwell' letterman jacket. "What is it?"

"That is no way to approach and educator mr. Prescott."

"You think I care? I'm only doing this so I don't have to take two weeks detention."

"Hmm" she sighed. "Nathan this is Alivia, she's new and needs a tour."

"Mhm" he said motioning for me to follow him as he walks out the door. "Look this is a shit town with a shit school. There's really nothin that interesting at the school."

We started walking down the green. He seemed very agitated. "Just a bunch of dumb art freaks, anyway-" he was cut off by an angry girl with short blonde hair who pushed him.

"What the fuck Nathan? That shit you pulled last night wasn't cool." She screamed

"What, it's not like the whole school hasn't seen it anyway?" He yelled back.

She slapped him and it was dead silent, except for the humming of the drone.

"Fuck you Nathan! Your a piece of shit druggie who's not gonna make it past 25! We all know it, sooner or later something's gonna get you arrested or killed, and I'm gonna be fucking ecstatic!" She walked away crying.

Everyone was silent for a while then he turned to me. "Well, welcome to Blackwell." He rubbed his cheek. "Ah shit, that bitch hits hard."

"Well did you deserve it?" I asked.

He chuckled. "Yea," He motioned for me to follow him. "Like I said, nothing interesting around here, if you want a tour your not gonna be that impressed."

He unlocked a red SUV and told me to get in. About 3 minutes of silence I asked, "so where are we going?"

"Like the school, the towns pretty shitty too. Until you get to the side no one sees." He said.

"What do you mean by that?"

"There's a bunch of crap that no one sees in this town. It looks perfect on the outside, you never really understand it until you live it." He said.

"Oh, that's crazy."

"Where did you move from again?" He asked me.

"Well my dad is in the military so we moved around a lot when I was young. There was this one place I had loved as a kid, so when I finished high school I moved back there for college. I hated my college there though, everyone was so stuck up and so strict." I told him.

"Oh, that sucks." Nathan said, pulling into a junk yard. And climbing out the window to the roof.

"What are you doing?" I said following him up.

"Taking a break." He said taking some weed out of his pocket. "You smoke?"

"Not since sophomore year." I said.

He lit a joint that was pre rolled. I figured he's got some money if he can get a bunch of those. When he passed it to me I inhaled, feeling the familiar sensation throughout my body.

"What was that Victoria girl bitching about earlier?" I asked, passing it to him.

"It was a party, there was something I needed to show people so I took out my phone and a certain," he smirked "revealing picture of her came up instead."

I laughed a bit, "You're a dick."

"Hey," he chuckled, "it's here if you want it."

"Ugh, gross." I smiled, thinking he wasn't serious.

"I'm serious, come on I'm bored."

"What?" I said as he slowly got on top of me.

His lips came to mine. I admit, I felt something, but it wasn't all there.

He kept pulling me up and yanking me in different ways. He was getting rough and starting to actually hurt me. He started sliding his hand down my stomach and into my pants.

"Woah, no way!" I stated.

"What, come on? Don't be such a prude!" He said angrily.

He went back in for another kiss and I pushed him off harder. "Seriously Nathan, I said no! God just take me back to the school"

I flicked what was left of the joint off the car and into the grass, and climbed into the car window.

When Nathan got in the car and started driving, it was silent.
