Back in Time

I'm sitting in class, Lucas is sitting behind me as usual and Rileys on the other side of me and Farkle's behind her, where in English class and Harper is teaching us about mystery romance novels. It's kind of ironic she's teaching this now since lately I've been noticing that Lucas has been not paying attention to Riley as much as he has in the past, the spark seems to be fading. "OK class I want you to come up with a short story that has to do with romance and mystery and make a poster with pictures and tell what makes it interesting and what you learn from it" says Harper, Farkle raises his hand very quickly "can we work in groups or partners" asks Farkle "yes but know more then four to a group" says Harper me Riley Lucas and Farkle all instantaneously look at each other and smile "meet at the library after school" says Riley "and Maya can you do the artwork you're really good at it" asks Lucas he looks at me and smiles but it's a different kind of smile did he just give me a honest compliment, I smiled back the same way he did "thanks Lucas" I say.

it is after school now and we all meet at the library and it still hasn't changed since seventh grade nothing in three Two we walk towards the table to sit down "here" says Lucas he pulled the chair out for me, I know Ranger Rick's polite but still "thanks" I say kind of awkwardly but still I smile and I sit down, Riley and Farkle don't really notice what Lucas did but we all sit down and we start to work, we've been sitting here for a while we can't really come up with any ideas "OH I GOT IT" says Farkle we all look at him excited "WHAT" we all say "OK so what if we have a forbidden couple and they could only meet in a secret area in the woods and The Mistry part of it is their friends try to figure out what's going on with them and the couple tries to make up all sorts of these excuses to make it seem like they're not a couple, and what they say might not end up as great as they think" says Farkle we all think it's a great idea and we start planning Farkle and Riley start writing it, Farkle is typing it and Riley is coming up with the ideas, I start to draw the scenery that Farkle is describing and I'm having a hard time trying to draw I think I need to look at it, i'm getting a little frustrated "oh crap I broke the pencil and it's the only one I got" I say "you can just go with Lucas when we're done writing he's going to get some supplies from the art room right" says Farkle I look at Lucas and he looks at me and back at Farkle "yeah" says Lucas and not even five minutes later Farkle hands us a paper of supplies we need and me and Lucas alone walking through the hallways to the art room. No one else is in the school really besides some of the teachers it's really quiet Lucas seems really relaxed compared to myself I feel a little awkward but calm "so Maya you were having some trouble drawing, never thought that would happen" says Lucas with a smirk on his face "hey Ranger Rick I don't criticize your cowboy skills" I say "yeah you do like all the time" says Lucas "why do you make fun of my cowboy heritage anyways" asks Lucas "like I said before because you let me why do you let me" I ask he looks at me and smiles, he raises his lip up and thinks for a second then looks back at me "I don't know, I guess I find it a little funny and kind of cute" says Lucas I kind of smile at him and blush a little, he notices that I'm blushing a little and chuckles he looks forward and notices that we are at the art room he tries to open the door but struggles then I try "it's locked" I say "let's try the other room" say Lucas then he puts his hand on my arm and strokes it then starts walking thinking that I was going to walk with him, he notices that I'm not walking beside him and turns around "are you coming" asks Lucas I look at him a little shocked, did he just say I was cute was he flirting with me as I think about it A smile slowly starts to creep up on me then I walk up to him and start walking with him to the other art room, we walk to the other art room and it's unlocked Lucas gets the door for me and we both kind of smile we get the art supplies and we walked back to the library "you know if you need some help trying to visualize the forest I know a place we can go all of us" says Lucas "ok" I say we walked back to the library and Riley and Farkle are pretty much done with the writing and now all we need is to put it together and add some artwork Lucas tells Farkle and Riley about the place he was talking about we decide to go there the next night.
