The luggage

Every thing was pitch black. I had lost track on time and there was a golf club pinching my back. There was only silence. What if the others had been taken to another plane?? I paniked. I COULD BE ALONE IN AN AIRPLANE WITH LUGGAGE! My phone suddenly buzzed. From my position I could read that my mother was calling me. Still, in the bag there was barely any space to move my head. I am usually not claustrophobic, only when I can't move and I freak out. My hands wouldn't reach the zipper from my position and my head wouldn't move because of the stupid golf clubs.

"GUYS!" I gasped.

"Here" I could recognize Samira's voice. Few. I let out a long sigh of relief.

"Help me out" I gasped again. I heard little steps and my zipper opened. LIGHT! Well, almost. It was her phone light. I jerked out and shook off some of those golf sticks they use to put the ball on (what ever that is called), "Thanks" I panted. She nodded. I took some time to study where we were. It was almost black. I guess that was how the luggage felt. Sad and cold. I was cold, and my body was stiff for being on that golf bag. I straightened up and winced as my back cracked.

"Where are the others?" I asked. Samira looked around. I followed her gaze. It was like a maze of bags. A dumpster, some kid of place where lost things end up, yep lots of stuff, "Great, how are we supposed to find the others?" I sighed. Samira and I exchanged an uneasy glance.

"MARIA! RENATO! JOAQUIN!" she yelled. No reply. I didn't mention a gigantic wall of luggage right in front of us? It was so neatly stacked up. Samira yelled again, and agian, and again.

"MARIA RENATO JOA-"

"Stop it." I interrupted, ""Its useless" She dropped herself down and crouched beside the golf bag, "Did the plane already take off?" I asked dropping down beside her.

"No, I bet it was delayed" she replied.

"But that's impossible, it's such a wonderful day" I complained.

"Not here, on Greece" she retorted. We stayed slient for some seconds.

"What if we climb the luggage?" I asked.

"We could get on the other side, yes, but the problem is not the place were we are, its the fact that we will get lost"

"COME ON! Give it a try!" I jumped.

"No"

"COME ON!"

"NO!"

"PLEASE!!!"

"FINE!" she yelled giving up. Slowly she stood up. I felt a pang of anxiety, if we were lost, how where we supposed to get out of the plane without being caught? Still I approached the luggage wall. I grasped the edge of one of the trunks and my foot on the other. I climbed.

"Isa, yes, I don't know if you remember the camping trip, I am not good at climbing" started Samira. I looked down, she was staring uneasily at me with uneasy eyes and rubbing her arm unconftably.

"It wont be hard ok? Just, step where I step" I replied. I kept climbing so she could have space to pull herself up. We took some time, the problem wasn't the height, it was how neatly stacked they were, it was almost impossible to find a way to put your hands without slipping. The more we climbed the more it tumbled. And more, and more. Step, tumble, step, tumble. I heard Samira squeak in anxiousness and then keep climbing. I kept climbing.

"ALMOST THERE!" I shrieked in excitement. I heard Samira gasp with relief. Just one more and I was up. THERE! I was on the top of the wall, looking down at the fall, "WE DID IT!!!!!" I yelled. I raised my arms in glory. TUMBLE, TUMBLE.

"ISA!" yelled Samira.

"Its ok" I replied. Not ok, I was freaking out on my insides. If we fell, the luggage would trap us underneath it. TUMBLE TUMBLE. I knew this was the last tumble. The bag I was on slipped out next to the other and the other and the other. I fell side ways. CRAP!

"AM I OK?" I asked.

"Yes" replied Samira. I opened my eyes. I was on the floor. I had fallen, some of the luggage still remained stacked. Few. I looked up, Samira was grabbing on to a large bag. Her eyes wide with fear, and her grip secured, "You can keep going, um, I will stay here" she said uneasily. I stared at her for a moment, then looked away. It was still a little dark. I took out my phone, placed the flashlight mode and moved.

Skip, step, skip, step. The place was full of luggage, "GUYS!" I yelled for the millionth time. No reply. I dropped my self to the ground. Super tired. I closed my eyes, calmly, peace... I woke up on a start. Everything was moving. I looked around. Was it an earthquake?? Suddenly I heard a loud ear braking sound. It was the airplane! I heard the dogs traveling, bark from their cages. I closed my eyes, and in a second the luggage was dragging me down. I slipped from side to side. I heart pounding for stop. Finally I hit an airplane wall. BUM! My muscles screamed for a stop as the bags slammed my thighs and my ribs. I looked for a way to run out. Luggage luggage, big luggage, luggage... BIG LUGGAGE! I looked at it my heart pounding again. It was fairly big, and it was going to fall on me. Waiting to feel the pain on my head... stumble, stumble, nothing. The plane was finally in the air. This allowed me to kick my way out. I let out a sigh of relief, "Ouch" I turned around to where the sound came from. I looked closer. The luggage shifted, and a little head peeked out. Joaquin.

"DUDE!" I exclaimed. He turned around still patting his head slightly.

"I bit m' tung" he said with his mouth obviously hurting.

"Where are the others?" I asked.

"They are somewhere over-"

"HERE!" Our heads shifted to see Renato half stuck in the bags. We stared in silence as he raised his arms. There was a moment of hesitation, "a little bit of help here?" he finally said. I moved to where he was and moved some of the bags so he could get out, "Well that was a bump" he exclaimed. I nodded in agreement.

"FINALLY!" I recognized Samira's voice. She was limping towards us.

"You all right?" I asked.

"Yeah, it was just that when the luggage fell on me, I kinda twisted my ankle"

"Does anybody here know how to untwist it?" I asked.

"I do," the last piece of the puzzle. It was Maria.

"Good, help her" I said. I took a seat on one of the soft luggages, "Now what?" I sighed.

"We wai-" Renato was interrupted by Samira's high pitched wail and the crack that came from her ankle.

"You ok?" asked Maria. Samira let out the gasp, and nodded.

"We wait" finished Renato.

"How many-" I was about to finish it.

"11 hours and 55 minutes" finished Joaquin. I sighed. An awkward silence took over.

"Well, we might as well get some sleep, we have a jet lag to resist" I exclaimed. All of us laid down on the luggage. I concentrated on the dark and the silence... MY PHONE! Oh it was there. Few.
