"Anna! Adam! It's so nice to see you guys!" Logan exclaims happily, as he opens the door, giving them both hugs.

A huge grin takes over my face. My parents invited my aunt and uncle! They are probably some of my most favorite people in the whole world! I decide to forget about the whole floor door incident. And the Kyle and Hayden incident. And the strange-black-package incident. Basically, everything that just happened! Today is my birthday after all! I can worry about all this tomorrow. Time for some birthday fun!

My aunt Anna, I call her Nana, is sisters with my mom, born and raised here in New York. When they're together, they always tell the best stories from their childhood. Her husband, Uncle Adam, Nana's childhood sweetheart, would sometimes pipe in the telling of their stories, seeing as he was part of most of them.

"Ahh! Nana! Uncle Adam! Hi guys!" I squeal as I run over to them.

I jump into them for a big bear hug, and see my two cousins, Alex and Addison, tagging along behind them, although they don't look as happy as I expect. We always love our little reunions.

Alex is a few years older than me, around Kyle's age, but we still get along. He hangs out more with Kyle, though. They're the partners of crime of the family. When together, there's no stopping their schemes.

Then there's Addison. We're the best of friends. She's like the sister I never had.

We were both in our mothers' stomachs during the same year. We are only a few weeks apart! Her birthday was a few weeks ago.

It was the only time Mom and Nana were pregnant at the same time. My mom is five years older than Nana, so she had my brothers before Lili started having kids. They almost got it with Kyle and Alex, but Nana was two months pregnant with Alex when Kyle was born, so they were off just by a little. But when they found out they had both, coincidentally, gotten pregnant at the same time with Addison and I, they knew that we'd be the best of friends, before we even met! They were right!

Unfortunately, four years ago, they all had to move to Florida. Nana's job required her and her family to relocate, and they had no option.

But on the bright side, every time we see each other, it's almost as if we love each other even more than the last time, which is no longer possible at this point.

"Evan! How are you, baby girl?" My aunt exclaims, as she puts me back down on the ground, "Wow, honey, you've gotten so tall from when I last saw you! How tall are you now?"

"Four feet and eleven inches!" I say with pride. I've grown three inches over the past year. The doctor always tells me I'll be short when I get older, but that doesn't stop me from getting excited whenever I do get taller.

"I'm five foot-one." An unfamiliar voice says, boastfully.

I look in the direction of my cousins and notice there is someone else with them. Someone I didn't notice before.

Next to Addison is a lean, pretty girl, with long, blond hair and hazel eyes. She has a smug look on her face.

"And who are you?" I reply.

"Evan, this is Georgina, our neighbors' daughter. They just went out of town and we are the only people they trust enough to leave Georgina with..." Nana says, sounding like she wants to add an unfortunately.

Despite my suspicion towards her, I put a smile on my face and hold out my hand to Georgian. "Nice to meet you!"

However, Georgian looks me up and down and ignores my greeting and gesture. I drop my hand and sigh awkwardly.
