Medusa, the mortal daughter of Phorcys and Ceto, was not always a monster. Once an adored priestess of goddess Athena, she offered her complete devotion--until her beauty drew the attention of a lecherous god, and death came soon after.
But that wa...
My annual leave began at the start of this week, and contrary to my fantasies of punching at my keyboard and writing thousands of words, I'm deflated in blessed relaxation. Also came to the bitter realisation that writing this story marched to the drums of my work routine, and now that I'm on a break, it's difficult to get into the flow.
That being said, chapter release will resume next week. I had the option of powering through and editing the slop I have in hand, but that would have been absolutely idiotic. Since I'm not an idiot (on most days), I choose this route.
This is me also asking for honest feedback. Because I dread rewrites, I do my best to make the story as good as I can reasonably make it as I go, but I may be blind to some faults others may see. So yeah, share your thoughts.
I created these worldbuilding graphics sometime last year, but chose not to share them because I didn't see how they helped the story. I also corrected the map I created. After thinking about how the continents were in my imagination and some plot points related to sea travel, I made a few adjustments.

I decided to share a little Greek myth I bet most already know cause why not?
Is Zeus the OG god?
Before Zeus and the Olympian gods ruled Mount Olympus, the world was ruled by the Titans.
The Titans were the children of Uranus (Sky) and Gaia (Earth). They included Cronus (Zeus' daddy), Oceanus, Rhea, Hyperion, and some others I can't care to mention. Anyhoo, Cronus (who was their leader) overthrew his father Uranus cause he's an ungrateful little shit. But later, fate did its thing and he got a dose of what he served his daddy. Zeus, that perverted SOB, led a rebellion against Uranus known as the Titanomachy, defeating the Titans and casting them into Tartarus.
In Greek lore, the Titans came before the gods and shaped the world long before Zeus took it all, but I twisted the hell out of many Greek myths while plotting the origin of Cosmolith and developing god characters. Why? Cause I can and it's fun.
That's all I've got. See ya next Saturday. All the love💕💕💕💕
