The worst kind of pain is when you're smiling just to stop the tears from falling. -Author unknown

"Taylor, have you seen the new boy? He is so, so cute!" My bestfriend, Mya mentioned once she was at our lunch table.

"Here we go. Another day of talking about boys. Great," Mike said sarcastically.

Mya and I grinned.

"We're just going have this one conversation about one guy. That's all," I told him. "Well, what does he look like?" I asked giving my full attention to Mya.

"He's a Junior, like us. Pretty tall, around 5'11, brown hair, and cute dark brown eyes," Mya described twirling her medium sized, curly dark brown hair. She has pretty brown skin and brown eyes. She is around 5'5, three inches taller than me, and she's in between skinny and thick.

"Ooh he sounds cute. Do you have any classes with him?" I asked taking a bite of my chicken nugget.

"Only one, which is second. I don't know about the classes after lunch. I hope I have more with him," she smirked.

"I'm about to go sit with somebody else who doesn't always fantasize about people," Mike said annoyed, getting up from across me.

"Noo, we'll stop," I whined, not wanting him to leave. "But just one more question. What does he sound like?"

"Does it matter what some guy sound like?" Mike questioned, getting more annoyed, sitting back down.

"Yes," Mya and I both snapped.

We looked at each other and laughed.

"Oh! There he is!" she whispered excitedly, but loud enough for us to hear her. Mike and I both looked over to where she was looking.

"Oh, my, God Mya. He is soo cute!" I exclaimed. I must have said that a little too loudly because he started looking over at me.

I hurriedly turned my head the other direction acting as if I didn't know what was going on.

"Mya, is he still looking?" I asked still facing the other way.

She chuckled. "No. He went in the lunch line."

"That's who you're so hyped up for?" Mike asked like the new boy wasn't anything but a ugly looking guy.

"Uh, duh," Mya said. "Did you not take a good look at him? Maybe you should look again."

"Anyways, Taylor prom is next month and I-" Mike began, sliding his fingers throughly in his really dark brown short hair. You can say that he looks somewhat similar to Zayn Malik but not exact.

"Oh yeah prom! Taylor we have to continue looking for our accessories together," Mya said cutting him off.

"Oh that's right. How about this Saturday?" I asked.

"Saturday? But Saturdays are hangout day," Mike noted.

"Do you want to go shopping with me and Mya then?" I asked, already knowing the answer.

"Never mind then. I guess we can miss a Saturday," he remarked.

I chuckled. "I cannot wait for prom. Especially since it's going to be at a hotel. When I was younger I dreamt of what prom would be like."

"I did too. Formal dresses dancing everywhere, tables set up beautifully, the lights dim," Mya imagined, looking into space.

"What about you Mike? Have you ever dreamed of what prom would be like when you were younger?" I asked him.

"Not really. I never really cared for prom then," he replied.

"So do you care now? Wait. Are you even going?" I asked.
