What a sunny day, Milana couldn't be happier.

It was game day today.

She had arrived in Castle Rock two weeks ago, it was time for her to make friends before she would get to her new school. Her last year of High School.

She couldn't bear the idea of being alone.

Looking at herself in the mirror, Milana suddenly felt uncomfortable.

She was wearing a white laced dress that matched her tanned skin.

However, you could clearly guess from her clothes that she was wealthy and that she was one of those girls who could get everything they wanted.

Yet, that's not how she wanted to be known.

Milana did not want people to think that she had disdain for them because she was richer than most of them.

She was, obviously. Her parents had told her how people were quite poor here, in Castle Rock.

But that did not matter to her. She hated those rich families who always belittled the ones who were not as lucky.

On top of that, Milana had always been friends with boys. And she knew that they did not like girls who were conceited.

If she wanted to make friends, she had to show that the fancy clothes she was wearing had nothing to do with her real personality.

She used to live in California before. People were more open-minded there.

She was pretty sure that it was the complete opposite here, in Castle Rock.

You better brace yourself, Milana.

"Mom, Dad, I'm going to the baseball game." She shouted before leaving her house.

"See you honey." Her mom answered.

While walking on the sidewalk, Milana couldn't hold in a smile.

She loved her new town so much already.

The atmosphere was peaceful and a beautiful forest surrounded the village.

She was certain that she would finally heal here.

California had ruined her mental health and the road to recovery was still tough.

Her house was not so far from the playing field, Milana got anxious when she started seeing it.

It was hard for her to make the first move but she had to do it, just like she had done with Nate and Eden.

And she had never regretted it.

She could it again.

Milana was so lost in her thoughts that she had not even realized that a car had just appeared on her left.

"Hey baby." A black-haired boy, probably in his twenties like the other ones in the Ford Custom, shouted at Milana.

She stopped and looked at them.

Her heart pounding from stress.

"You're new there, what's your name?" A guy in the back asked.

Milana was used to those kinds of men, she had to answer them if she didn't want to be harassed.

She had to show them that she was not afraid.

"Milana." She sighed, looking ahead.

The car was slowly following her.

"Russian girl?" The driver smiled, a blond guy.

Milana glanced at him for a second, he was staring at her with arrogance.

Nevertheless, despite this apparent arrogance, she could see in his piercing blue eyes that he was... amazed?

His lips were parted.

She blushed, uncomfortable.

"Sort of."

"'Thought they were blond like you Ace!"

They laughed, but Ace ignored them. Milana was avoiding his gaze and he wasn't pleased with that.

Well.

She finally knew at least one of them. Ace was the driver.

Yet, what was sure was that she wouldn't be friends with those assholes.

"Wanna take a ride?" Ace asked, deciding not to give up.

"Come on baby!"

"Eyeball... Shut the fuck up at least once in your life."

"No, thanks. Bye." Milana curtailed their conversation, annoyed.

She started to walk faster. Then they burst out laughing.

Ace, who seemed to be the leader of this stupid gang, made them quiet.

The car overtook her and Ace gave her one last look before disappearing from her field of vision.

Thankfully, it seemed like they were not going to the game.

She was so angry. How immature they were.

She hoped that not all of them were like that.

When Milana arrived, the game had already started.

There were not that much of people. Most of them were teenagers.

Everyone was smiling and laughing, having a great time. Milana found her cheerfulness again.

She weaved in and out between parents who were here to support their kids.

A few minutes later, she noticed a group of four boys.

She walked toward them instinctively, smiling.

She felt like they were the ones who could meet her expectations.

You can do it, Milana

"Hi." She said, just a few steps away from them.

They all turned over her in surprise, but after noticing the kind of girl she was, they frowned.

So. Quite short I know, did you like it? :-)
Just to make sure: the boys are 18 here. So is my OC. Ace and the gang are 22.
